If not for a good person I wouldn't even be playing UOML right now. So I tip my hat to this person (you know who you are). There's a special place for you in my heart. I hope you know that.

With the family situation in the hurricane and my medical problems $$ is tight and we might be cutting back on extras like our games or the internet entirely soon so bear with me if I seem to disappear off the face of the planet. I'm doing my best to see that that doesn't happen but ends just aren't meeting right now. Fortunately we got the family into their own place, although there's still everyone living in a very small place it is still something to call their own. They just got a phone turned on there so I will be calling tomorrow if this stomach flu lets up and I am able to get to a telephone to call. The kids are doing "ok" as can be expected and with a special donation from another blessed person here on the boards I was able to get some fun things for them to do while waiting for their lives to get back to what can be considered normal. To this person I also want to say you have a special place in my heart and thank you so much for caring that much about some people you don't even know. I was able to send a care package today now that they have their own address. It brings tears to my eyes and makes me wish I was as good of a person as you are. (you also know who you are) It's wonderful that you donated directly to my family and "thank you" doesn't quite cover it.

I will be going into the hospital again on October 10th. It should only be for the day. They are going to try to remove some fluid that is putting pressure on my spinal cord and also give me an epidural injection to help relieve the pain in my legs. Hopefully I will be back to work soon so I can start making some money! I may go back before then if I can get the doctor to sign off. Work says they will make special accommodations for me. We will see. The past week has been pretty bad for me pain wise making me have second thoughts to that one. It's hard to deal with the public while you are in pain, and my job for this coming fall season is going to be nothing but dealing with the public. We do the TV ratings and frankly the people I talk to tend to blame me not only for whatever they consider to be "crap" on TV but also I get blamed if their favorite show gets canceled. They don't realize all we do is find out what types of people are watching what shows and how many there are.

I talked to the short term disability people this week and have been told my extension has been approved. This is a good thing as I haven't been paid this month at all because the doctors office took their time sending whatever information was requested to whoever requested it. The extension is only for 70% of my pay but hopefully I will get a check soon now.


The meds just kicked in for me. I think I'll go try to make a "Flutter's state of the game" post too now!

I don't know if going back to work quite yet would be good for you hun..like you said, dealing with people is probably stress you don't need right now!

I agree with Thradia, I wouldnt go back quite yet until you are fully ready to.

Im glad the fam is heading back in the direction of normalcy again!

As far as the fluid drain and epidural go, they are fairly simple procedures (so long as Im thinking of the right things...they dont use Xray for those much ) that I hope will give you some much needed relief...

As a side note, Ive never heard someone so happy about getting an STD! Sorry...I was hoping to make you smile at least...
