Reading another post i rememberd a drunken moment that always makes me grin. It was about 8 years ago, Christmas eve/day, some silly hour of the morning when i was returning home. I was as drunk as a skunk, but at that border where your still semi aware of whats going on around you. I was heading to my mums house cause we always spend christmas day together, and me and my sister almost always stay there christmas eve.

I got to my front door put the keys in the lock, turned the key and nothing... I tried another key, and nothing, i then pulled out my work keys and tried everything (including padlock keys) and still nothing! I got realy worked up into a state cause it was fissing down with rain, i was drunk and tired, and just wanted me bed . I sat on the wall outside completely unable to figure out what was wrong.

I ended up going to sleep outside the front door. Woke up the later in the morning, soaking wet, feeling groggy but less drunk. Tried again with the keys, thankfully my mum heard me scrabbling at the door. Tried letting me on but took a moment of fiddling to open the door. Of course, my sister had gotten in before and put the inside lock on so i couldnt even turn my key in the lock :grin: I felt a tad sily...


Ever felt a bit daft after being drunk or just had something silly happen to you when under the influence?

Oh Jeebus! Dont get me started on inibriation stories...

One time, (not at band camp) I was playing UO with my friend crazyfortats. Last thing I remember is being a Skara stable. We were talking with some people, trying to figure out what we were going to do, if anything. So the next day comes, I wake up feeling kind of groggy, head to work and work the day away.

I get home and hop on UO...wtf! Why am I in Jhelom? OMG, where is my armor? Why do I not have any bandages or anything else in my pack?

In about the next 10 seconds, Crazy calls to see what Im doing. I start yelling into the phon that my account must have been hacked and Im going home to see what they took. He is in shock! "Dude! What the hell happened, whats missing? Where are you?" that kind of thing. So I start telling him.

Inbetween his fits of laughter, he is explaining to me that I had the brilliant idea of the two of us heading down to Shame to fight Poison Eles. Neither of us were very high level chars, nor all that well equipped, but I guess I started goading him a bit (What' teh werst tht ciuld happen? Don br a wus... yes, thats how I was typing) and then I lagged out while we were down there...for about 5 minutes. Totally possible that it took me that long just to log back in, but he died valiantly attemting to loot my corpse among a stiff spawn.

The *repeated* attempts of my reclamation of my gear, per his accounts, were at least very humorous. All told, he said I died no less that 12 times and each time I was vehement about getting a res (his char couldnt res at that point) to attempt to retrieve my lost stuff. This happened long after my corpse had long decayed...

Truly one of my greatest UO moments...

I think the worst thing that ever happened to me was when I was actually NOT drunk, but the designated driver.

A few of us had gone out to eat, then went to a pool hall. I think I ate something bad, cause I started feeling really sick. I bundle my drunken friends into the car, and start getting them home. By the time I was down to just one friend, I couldn't handle it anymore. I pulled into a carwash, got out, and threw up. I happened to do this right at the precise moment a cop was driving by.

I'm leaning on the wall, trying not to barf up a lung, and he walks over. He asks if I had anything to drink, and I tell him no, while trying not to gag. He decides he wants to chit chat a while, and I am trying to explain that I just ate something bad when I throw up again.

He had stepped back a few feet (smart guy) but told me he could tell I hadn't been drinking just from the smell. That comment alone was enough to send me back into another gagging fit. He made me get back in my car, and drive to the closest corner store. He went in, and got me something for my stomach, and made sure I took it. After a few, he made sure I wasn't going to pass out or anything, and sent me on my merry way.

The entire time this was happening, my last drunken friend left in the car was giggling like a madman. The cop and I both pretended like he wasn't there. Finally he shut up when I told him the cop could have busted him for public intoxication. But then he couldn't resist telling everyone at work about it.

Well the only drunk story I am willing to tell on these boards was actually the morning after drinking my face off. Woke up downstairs with two buddies of my, decided I would go and play some UO. Picked myself up off the basement floor and walked about 50 feet to the other room and the computer, neared the computer desk and all of the sudden everything went black lost all control of my body and smashed my head off the edge of the desk, woke up 3 hours later with my buddy making sure I was still alive. Seems I had a HUGE gash in my head and was bleeding pretty bad. Stood up and looked around, all of the sudden got light headed and feel into the computer chair. Used my shirt to stop the bleeding and my buddies decided I was ok, started to head home, started playing UO. And later that day I checked the damage it wasn't too bad. And it didn't even leave a scar

Love both the stories And Minotaur, take it from someone who deals with head lacerations on a daily basis, NOTHING bleeds like the scalp. A fairly small cut can look like Hari Kari in very short order. And if you get a scar, you can (usually) cover it up with hair!

Yeah, when i got hit by the car door *see the comparing injurys thread* i split my face open, had a cut running up side of face and across eyebrow.

Id swear i had more blood coming out of my face than any other cut on my body, and i had a few of them :grin:

Too many to recount... but, the most memorable was getting a call to go out and meet some friends after drinking beer and watching golf on TV all day long. I was way too buzzed to go out but they were picking me up in 10 minutes. So I rushed to get dressed and ready anyways. I jump in the car and immediately realized I'd forgot me wallet. So I jumped out of the car and ran through the front door and in to the bedroom. I looked around confused, swaying a bit, cause all the furniture was different. I wandered into the living room to see the frightened looks of my neighbors staring at me from their couch... nekkid.. with porn on the tv. Ummmm.... they never invited me over for BBQ's after that.

LOL omg did you at least explain you had been drinking all day? LOL
