Careful when using your wii!

I read a few stories about people using the new Nintendo Wii and the straps breaking on the new controler, resulting in smashed windows and TV screens (lol)

Nintendo Wii's launched this year to rave reviews and queues. But within days there were reports of controllers causing problems. Some people failed to use the wrist strap, while for others the strap broke. Jaana Baker smashed her TV when the strap broke. Nintendo now offer to replace straps.

When I first saw that picture, I thought it was some special effects thing on the screen, lol
Then read the story and realised it was an impact mark

I dont own a wii, but I'd like to. My question is, how do you smash your tv? Can't you hold onto the controller so it doesn't go flying out of your hand?

When I first read this I was thinking that their wrist strap broke, and in frustration they threw the controller at their own tv. haha.

No, one of the games is a sporting one, where you swing the controller around, because it's got a motion sensor in it
I'd imagine it slipped out of people's hands and either through windows, or into tv sets, hehe

Yeah, I have to wonder what they were doing that they couldnt hold onto the controller as well as have the strap on the wrist.

Anyone who has ever skied knows that you put the pole's wrist strap on, but yuo better hold the grip as well....

Haven't you guys seen the Kung Fu commercial for WII? I can see myself doing a "Karate Chop!* and it fly right out of my hand.
