Hi everyone,

I posted this on my guild's forum, but also wanted to share it with all of you here on UOForums. UOF has become another online home for me.

Just wanted to let all of you know that I've been busy but not gone... and will be busy for a little longer. Gotrik knows, but I haven't made much of it public... but this is a good time to let you know.

My grandmother passed away Tuesday morning. Her name was Margaret, she lived to be 89 years old and eventually 47 pounds. Grandma Margaret has been on home-based hospice since last October... she always wanted to die at home, in her own bed, with family nearby.

My grandmother, mom, aunt and I all lived within 2 miles of one another... so we've all been working as a team to keep Grandma at home, happy, and comfortable in her last days. Jokingly, Grandma's nickname is "The Queen"... she even used to joke back with her queenly wave.

Here is a photo of Grandma Margaret, with my dad and other mom (yes, I have two moms)...


If any of you would like to do something in remembrance of Grandma Margaret, I would only request three things... be with your grandparents as much as possible, do things with & for them, and always remind them of how much you love them.

Yes treasure your grandmothers those of you lucky enough to still have them around.I lost mine last year aged 96 yrs old.

I have some wonderful memories though .

My thoughts and prayers are with you and yours, Nok, and I agree wholeheartedly about cherishing the time you have with grandparents. I lost my Grandfather before I ever had a chance to know him, and my grandmother just after I graduated high school. I miss her dearly, and wish I had been able to know my grandfather. From all accounts, he was a wonderful man.

Sorry to see the Queen move on to another realm. I'm sure she'll be well received.

My son just left last week, we may get to see him for a week here and there over the next 2 years. He made a point of going to see both sets of his grandp[arents, all hover aroound the 80 mark, and my father-in-law, A Omaha Beach, Battle of The Bulge DAV isn't going to see many more moons. Sean wanted to make sure he got some time in from all of them.
One just never kn9ows, so your reque3sts are quite valid and timely!
