JOb hunt update.
My favorite company, who I had THOUGHT was going to conduct a second iinterivew, has yet to set a date. BOO.

I found a web site, astd.org, that has a job bank for workforce educators. I found three jobs there in my area that I thought I could pursue. And I so far have interviews with two of them!!!!!

One is for an insurance underwriter, as a loss prevention specialist (sorta like a safety oncusltant). I am not as qualified for this (They have two people in this position in the US, with a combined 75 years of safety knowledge). SO I am leveraging my ability to research, and my adult educational background (I actually prepared a lesson plan on an area I had a little knowledge of, and sent it to the VP after my first interview). The VP I first contacted called me for a 2 hour phone interview, and is meeting with me Tuesday in Seattle.

One is a safety presenter for a contractor with boeing, microsoft, etc. I actually applied for a different position. Not one I wanted, but one that paid well, and got me in the door at this company. When they called me yesterday, the phone interviewer asked me about my safety background. Boy was I stunned!!! I guess I got so excited that she wanted a second interview. I meet with her company Wednesday in Seattle!!

In yet ANOTHER Twist, the company I liked most (see above), called today. They filled the environmental position, but wanted me to screen for the ..... salesforce. As an HR (in training) person, this seems like QUITE the leap.
Now, I have a REALLY varied skillset, but sales is NOT part of that. HRRRMMMM. This makes the third company that has given me options other than the one THEY originally considered me for.

Bright side, at least they want me. Maybe. hehehehe

Did the insurance underwriter interview today. Won't know for two weeks though. Stupid holidays.
Seems to have went well. The interviewer (A senior VP for the company) and I have the same outlook on safety.... We need to make people FEEL and THINK safety, as a cultural and organizational culture.
He invited me to call or e-mail with questions anytime. So MY question is; should I? What should I ask? (googles post-interview question asking)
