![]() | Apple II GS Just stopped into say I'd bought an Apple II GS (GS stands for Graphics and Sound) computer early in the summer. I've poured about two hundred bucks into the thing and it orginally cost me forty. No hard drive? I'll buy a SCSI zip drive for it. BUT no SCSI plug on it. Oh, that's okay! I'll get the optional upgrade that you can plug into the motherboard and has a thingie that sticks out the back of the machine. WAIT! I haven't got a zip drive for my newer computers. No problem. I'll get a SCSI to USB adaptor. I even went so far as to bid on a Macintosh LC (Low Cost) III which set me back nine bucks plus s/h. Why? Some dude on a website recommened it for getting images off the internet. Long story. I'm a doofus. ![]() |

In storage I have an Apple IIc, an Amiga 500, an Atari 1200XL (my first computer), an Atari 130XE, 2 Atari 800's, an Atari 400, an Atari 1040ST, an Atari Mega4ST, a Commodore VIC-20 and C64, an IBM PC, and... countless accessories & software for those systems. There should be even the first four Ultima boxes out there, with a bunch of other classic 8-bit games. |

![]() | Re: Apple II GS Selling a "Desktop Publisher." It's a Brother DP 300cj Ensemble. Comes with CPU (combination keyboard, CPU, printer), mouse, monitor (my guess it's a 15 inch). It has an awesome little GEOS Operating System which lets you do a bunch of stuff like word processing, picture drawing, or even play Othello. My mother says it's broken because it don't print any more but you can transfer files from it's word processing to a computer as TXT only files using a disk-swapping procedure. Get productive or teach someone how to type. Can't get offline on your computer? Get offline on this thingie. Also included is the optional thingie that lets it hold more than one piece of paper should you get it fixed. \Thinking of selling for $150. I think I have the original box, unsure of manual. |
