OK, Im about at my end with this one.. its a computer problem.. and i suspect some kind of compatibility(sp) issue. I downloaded Project Entropia the other day, and today i tired to create my Avatar. the problem is when i get to the Avatar screen all i can see, besides the customizing bar... is a completely gray background and a white Silhouett(sp) of the avatar's clothing.

I have fiddled with the options (con speed, graphics quality, sound/no sound, even messed with the monitor freq.).... nothing. Ive updated all drivers, ive downloaded any and all things having to do with DirectX 9.0. My computer meets the Sys requirments for the game.

I am at a complete loss on this one. It is driving me insane (as if i wasn't insane enough)...

so, has anyone ever run into anything like this before??l

How do you know youre not seeing exactly what you should be seeing?

If I have time tomorrow, Ill take a peek-peek at Entropia.

there is a pic on the Entropia website... there is supposed to be a background and a person... for example.. when i change the hair color nothing happens, when i change the skin color.. again.. nothing happens . someone on another forum suggested that it could be that Im zoomed too far out/in..but my touchpad doesn' have a wheel so i can't check that. It would be nice if it was something that simple

What kind of graphics card do you have Ki? I can't think of anything but a compatability thing...

I had no issues at all! Left all settings at default and voila! I think I may have changed the refresh rate and resolution for full screen mode but that's it. I once had a problem with a game though and it did the same type of thing.. I found out later, that I had to revert to old video drivers to get it to work. Have you checked on their forums? Maybe there is an answer there.

I have a Radeon Mobility 7500 64md... its old but it has worked for every thing else

yeah i posted on their forums but it seems no one has had this issue... im going to try a few other things.. ill try a driver roll back and the mouse thing. hopefully i can get it working

I figured it out.. although im not sure exactly what it was. It may have been my connection speed.. if thats the case me and my phone company are going to have one hell of a talk later .

I cecked out the site this morning and decided against it. While I do have 3 gig free hd space, I just wanted to avoid any hd isues with the download.

Maybe after my UO sub runs out and I do a little clean up Ill give it a shot...
