Antivirus/Firewall Software

Well I have faithfully used Norton for over ten years. Seemingly have never had a problem. I have noticed some posters not really enthralled with it. So was wanting some input from you guys. As my Beloveds new comp came with McAfee and is getting ready to expire. I need to decide to stay with McAfee, go with Norton my old faithful software or look for better software.

i had nothen but problems with McAfee and never been a fan of Norton. the company i work for does comp publications, i was reading through one a year or two ago and found this gem of a program, http://www.free-av.com/ the free one comes without a firewall, but the upgraded has one does. ive been using this for along time and love it to death

I personally stick with the free ones, even if I had millions of pounds, i'd use the free ones
Norton has become to bloated, anytime i've tried to install it i've had problems, on multiple machines

I use AVG Free, they also do AVG Anti spyware, with resident protection
Firewall wise, I allways use zonealarm, it is also free.

and i thought i was the only "free-loader" out there

i have also used AVG in the past... it is a great program, the main reason i swiched was that Avira was more user friendly. imo that is

well.. i don't know if im the only one getting the messages.. but AVG isn't going to be free after feb 18th.. or at least thats what their little pop ups tell me everytime i start my computer....

I'm glad this thread got started ive been meaning to ask about other free anti virus apps...

Hmm odd I never got that message on AVG yet... the only thing it has asked me is if I would like to patch the new downloads and that is all I ever hear from it

Maybe it says it in the window when I go to patch it...

Nor have I figured out how to be gracefully passionate without appearing arrogant. In the end, I always seem to be arrogant and weak instead of humbly passionate.
