Just wondering if anyone out there has a PvP character out there w/ stealing, and what would the template be for that type of character. Sounds like it would be funny to see a person say "$$$% he stole my regs" or "DAmn my bandies are gone."

Yeah, you can steal stuff still, but it is hard to snoop someone and specifically steal something. Usually you would just run up and steal from the character and hopefully get something good at random. However, this is easily remidied if the guy puts his stuff in another bag. Stealing on a pvp character used to be good when you could actually steal stuff, but now, not so much.

I guess if you worked in stealth you could be some annoying thief at Yew gate, but other than that it really isn't viable.

Actually a great thief template is necro/hide/stealth/steal/snoop/ninjitsu. You go in wraith form, so that nobody bumps into you, and camp spawns. If you are 120 stealing they wont get the "so and so is looking into whatever" and you can have your picks of scrolls.. Go 120 stealth so you are not easily revealed, and if you are revealed, smoke bomb hidden again. Its a very viable template and we have a guy in our guild that its all he plays anymore.

wow...the yew gate thing is not for me...enough annoying people there. Bo's guildy's template sounds interesting. How does he not get ganked at a spawn. Now just have to work up those skills *sigh* lol

you stay stealthed during it. In wraith form, you are un-run-in-able. People will never get the messege "you run into something invisible or hidden" because you are a ghost form. So you basically just wait it out.. and check out their packs and steal what you want..easy money. I had a 120 archery taken from me a few weeks ago from one of these guys..

I tried to do some thieving in the time around the ML release; maybe a month prior and 2 months after or so.

Iirc, I was at about GM Stealth and 110 Stealing and I got revealed CONSTANTLY! To the point that I would rarely get to even attempt a steal because I would get revealed and targeted and have to bolt and attempt to re-hide. Part of this is attributed to the fact that I was never the best player and got frustrated and went to do something else when this would happen so I didnt learn to do it better.

I was in the process of training up Ninjitsu to be able to use smoke bombs but I let my account lapse before I even reached that point. I think its only 70 or so but if you go to 85 youll get Bake-Kitsune form; increased movement speed and a bump to your maximum hit points.

Never thought about the Wraith form thing. Jjst saw that you cant fail Recall while in Wraith form either...good bonus. Just watch out for the 25% drop in Fire Resist that comes with it too

Thx guys for the ideas. I have most of the skills on various characters. Just need to soulstone them. The only one I am going to have to build is ninjutsu. What level do u have to be to not fail w/ the smoke bombs and what character can make them.

Ouch. If you havnt made an Alchemist and you plan to, be prepared. I flushed it twice at about 40 due to irritation. If possible, Id suggest starting a new Char with 50 in it...might be able to hold onto part of your sanity.

What's the reason for taking Necro all the way to GM? If you're willing to live with a 75% chance for wraith form @ 60, seems like you could use some points elsewhere, perhaps in Spirit Speak for healing?
