What is your favorite bow style for PvP?

I have a nice heavy xbow for dismounting, and a sweet regular xbow (would be uber but slow SSI

), and a nice regular bow with good HL, HML, SSI and DI. I was thinking about adding either a nice shortbow or composite bow to the arsenal. What are your favorite PvP bow types, what are their mods, and why do you like them. I'd like some input before I think seriously about spending a fair chunk of gold on a purchase I might not need. Right now I was thinking about the composite bow for the moving shot, but the hit lightning effect with the shortbow is intrigueing to me. Your views?

Too bad you are not on LA, I have several nice bows of each variety you could test.
Not an archer myself, but after seeing several of my crafted bows in action, I have these thoughts
-shortbow, the hit special is about all it is good for. Damage is extremely low, even when well crafters ( Snuggs has a 30 SSI, 55 DI, 45 HML, 40 hit fireball bow)

- Composite- armor ignore is nice. Really amps up your damage, especially if you have hit mana leech, wraith form, or high mana regen.

- yumi- Armor PIECE is better than ignore, gets better bonus from bushido.

Overall, buy ash or yew fletching kits and make your own, using yew as the base wood. You can get double on hit effects (velocity and lightning rules), and good m id range leeches.

Depends on what type of Archer you are.

I regularly ran with 3 bows minimum for different purposes. I carried a heavy, regular x-bow, and a yumi.

Im not the best archer, but i absolutely love my heavy with dismount then 2 AI's from my composite and they usually really dead or hurting...my 2 cents

Might just be me, but on my mage the worst bow to fight against is a 40ssi composite with hit spell. Consencrate weapon helps a ton in that case

I manly use a heavy x-bow
48 hit lighting 55 mana leech 10 ssi 50 di --slow even with 148 dex but does the job i use it with my bushido archer
