Ok... So I'm wanting a dex/mage

I was told to go:
Swords
Chivalry
Magery
Bushido
Parry
Eval

Does this sound about right? If I don't go above 80 with magery...I get 4/6 for chiv; correct? Or would it be better to go ahead and GM+ magery? I'm really just coming back to the game and soo much has changed. I really don't know where to begin and everyone has their own theories as to the best pvp template. Atleast here...it's not subject to change every 5 mins. So any suggestions would be welcomed!!


Also...if you could include what skill lvl's I should go with what skils...that would be great. 120, 110, etc... Thanks!
And yes; before anyone asks...I have gone through some of the other posts and am currently still checking out all of the other suggestions.

Im just wondering where you are planning to get mana from :| you have a heavy mana template.. with no regen

That's my problem also... They keep telling me to just get a good suit... I'm just coming back to the game; how much would this suit cost me?! It would have to be 100% LRC/70's/with MR?! This would be crazy. So I believe I'm just listening to people who aren't putting much thought into it.

actually my take on this.. get a weapon with -0 magery.. staff of magi or swords of prosperity.. that allows you to use the evasion... but limits the special moves you're able to use. *shrugs* I'll stick to my wrestle/mage

Swords 90 all use this for is nerve strike
Chivalry 105 this all you need for holly light spam
Magery 85 +5 with alchy tals, and +20 with crystal ring end up with 110
Bushido 90 for riding hyry and using confidence
Parry 120 this says it all
Eval 110 use Scrapper's Compendium book for +10 end up with 120
ninja 120

Don't use evade, its such a waste of mana.

A typical load for me would be:
20 Greater Heals
20 Greater Cures
10 Dex
10 Strength
10 Refresh (useful when necros pain spike you)
5 Enchanted apples
5 Orange Petals
1 Tinkered trap box (32 tinkering)
1 Lesser Hiryu
1 Etheral Mount
3 Greater Conflag Pots (Useful for getting those stealthers)
One Pet Ball

I'm not big on pots...I'm hoping to stay away if possible. What if I drop magery/eval and pick up Tactics/anatomy? Will this inc my dmg enough to make a difference? Or is magery the way to go completely? Also...problem I ran into...Does trapping boxes still work to get out of para?

If you're just coming back, there is absolutely no reason to start building a hybrid template at the moment. Hybrid templates are the most difficult to run, and most item dependent, thus the most expensive.

You should attempt at running a pure mage, with 45 dci, or some variation off of that.

120 magery
120 eval <-- most important thing to 120
120 med
120 resist
120 weapon skill or wrestling

you have 100-120 skill points left depending on your account age. This is where you can change it up slightly. You may run 120 fencing with 80 poison and be a dp weapon mage, or go 120 wrestling 120 ninja and be a ninja puncher( a template I still run for fun), or you can do 120 swords, and 120 bushio and be a bokuto mage which is a template i run as well, but very item dependent. If you could get the items for that, it's considered the best mage template in the game right now.


Anyway, personally, i'd go inscription wrestle, with 45 dci. Just stay pure mage for now then figure out what you like from there. Pure mages are hard to use in the field, but are the template of choice in dueling.
