Here's another question:
If your template has any spare points after you get it set, would it benefit to drop them into tactics? Or is tactics one of those skills that is useless without being GM or higher?

It'll give you one or two points extra damage, but since all melee chars should be human, you'll need at least 30 points spare. 30 points in tactics could be the difference between red lined and paycheck.

What unsupportable said.
Really depends on how many spare points are left and race.

Hm. My nerco swordswoman is human, so that might work. If a small amount of tactics won't make a difference tho, I will skip it. It Doesn't help with hit chance at all?

No help with hit chance or defense chance. Just a damage modifier.

*tosses tactis out the door*
If you can get items with damage increase, it would be the same then right? I don't have the spare skills if that is all it does lol.

It literally goes from doing maybe 30 a hit, to nearly 50, depending on base damage, which tactics does affect.
Tactics is only worth adding on PvM templates that are going for max damage. Other than that, it's not needed.
However, if I were to duel someone in close quarters, I put on tactics over ninjitsu because of the damage increase and 35 damage AI's.

Not sure it's exactly the same thing, I think the formula for DI goes something like this.
100% max from items
200% max from skills/slayer bonus (this includes chiv spells).
300% max from all DI bonuses.
So with 100% DI from items, the 65% (someone correct me on this) from GM or higher Anatomy, 100% from Slayer, and somewhere between 65%-80% (need another correction, I'm attempting to remember from 2 years ago what I read somewhere) from EEO brings you to the 300% cap without Tactics.

You para ability is well over 1 second at 120 bushido, its more like 1 second at GM. Most definitely, I run with a bush/bok temp. And its over a second before they can run again. If Liliath hits me, its def near 2 seconds.
