Swords of Prosperity Question

When a mage equips SoP are you able to use the special abilities on them? If not does Tactics allow you to? What are the abilities if they have them?

you need to have swords to be able to do the abilities. I dont remember the exact abilities on them, but it hardly seemed worth it to put swords on. Cause why would you waste points in swords, when you get the same benefit with magery?
