I aquired an expiring account that had an elder mage/gm swords/gm stealther on it.
I have decided to make this into my PVP character. It started like this:

STR 124
DEX 14
INT 105

Magery 110
Med 108
Hiding 100
Stealth 102
Swords 100
Tactics 100
Tracking 60

So I thought I would flush med and Tracking and pick up Eval and Poison.
So at present it looks like this.

Magery 110
Med 108 (set to lower)
Eval 29 (set to raise)
Hiding 100
Stealth 100
Swords 100
Tactic 100
Tracking 49 (set to lower)
Poison 30 (set to raise)

I was thinking I could sneak up...then disarm, paralize, poison, (cut with knife between spells)..rinse repeat.
I wish i had asked you guys before I started tweaking, because I have not tried PVP before, so I may have goofed. Im not gonna mess with him anymore until I get your feedback.
Do you think I am headed in the right direction with this template?


Also, at present, he has a 100%LRC suit (but crappy resists) and a butcher knife that is almost out of deadly poison charges. What would be some good PVP gear?

I am going by what people have advise me before. Try to get magery as high as possible so u don't fizzle and concentrate on small spells for themost part. You can drop med to 80 but make sure you have enough mana regen since specials and magic are you bread and butter. E/I has to be as high as possible for more damage. GM hiding is fine stealth can be at 80 since everyone tells me GM or higher stealth is a waste since all it does it let you take more steps so you can be revealed the same w/ 80 or lengend stealth. The only problem I see is that you have no defense at all so you have to hope u can stay on top of opponent the entire time. No parry means toast reall fast when they attack. Also, 80 posioning w/ only give you lethal poison w/ attack if wep is 120 so u hit the golden 200 mark (120 wep + 80 poson = 80% chance of lethal poison) If u legend magery was well then u can get a bump on posion as well. I would drop tactics so you have more points to play with and go human so u get the jack of all trades bonus since you will be wearing all medable armor. I would rather go w/ the folowing template:

120 Magery
80 Med
120 E/I
100 Hide
80 Stealth
100 Swords
120 Tactics
80 posion

I think you will die fast sicne you have no defense but I am not very good at PvP w/ mage so maybe you will have more luck than me. A suggestion for wep get as much SSI on wep (butcher knife preferable) and a high HLD on it or else EVERY swing will be parried and u will be a sitting duck. Good luck and I hope my input was helpful.
