ninja fencing or paladin

im a new player and have one of those advanced character tokens and cant decide if i should do a ninja or paladin. Paladin seems a better choice especially with healing and transport, ninjas seem like it would be harder to just go around and adventure....hard decision and don't want to waste this sucker...
any advice would be greatly appreciated
