Newbie question

Do your armor/weapons/etc no longer drop when you're kill in pvp? Everyone is talking about getting good gear and whatnot. From what I remember people use to run around naked(mages at least) to help with casting and so you wouldn't lose your good gear? I haven't played since probably 2000ish and have decided to start playing again. Thanks in advance

Re: Newbie question

We now have "Item Insurance" that keeps your items with you when you die. It costs 600 gold per item to start insurance and 600 per item to reinsure when you get ressurrected.

Im not sure if it costs more or less when you die to another player instead of a monster, but I think I remember hearing something about that...

Re: Newbie question

Let me clarify that all shards EXCEPT Siege Perilous and Mugen have insurance. There is no insurance or Trammel on those 2 vet shards.

Re: Newbie question

Its 600, but its always says 300, like twice as many times. Wierd. its something to do with how it works out how much gold to give the guy that killed ya.

Re: Newbie question

And have money in the bank for it too. I forgot I didn't have much money in the bank, cause I had the checks at home for whatever reason. I lost a decent set of sleeves that way. If your money is in checks, I think it will take it out of the check but I prefer to have gold in there just in case.

Yeah, just to clarify though.

The 600 is how much an insured item will cost you, no matter what.

The 300 is how much a player gets per insured item upon killing.

Re: Newbie question

There is an insurance bug that they have yet to fix, so your items aren't 100% safe. More like 99% safe. It's not a bug that anyone can manipulate, but on a very rare occasion, you may lose something due to this bug.

Re: Newbie question

To fix it, all you need to do is to enable the shift key to select menus. I forget how. Someone else shed some light on it please.
