New changes to templates

So with Pub 43 really changing some aspects of pvp, i was wondering what people are going to gripe about as the next "gimp" template. With the dexterity requirement for parry back in, that helps do away with parry mages as well as evade mages. My money will be on the "Ninja mage" as the next template everyone is going to complain about.

120 ninjitsu
120 eval
120 weapon skill
120 resist
120 meditation
120 magery

SC weapon and shield, for higher HCI. Run in have explosion precast, deathstrike, then spell spam away. Opinions welcome!

Nice template, I have been making my first pvp character, decided after 4/5 years I need a bit of danger... so i'm about 3/4 way through finishing a ninja/necro type template will be fun i am sure..!!!

110 Necromancer..........(+higher with talisman)
110 Spirit Speak...........(+higher with talisman)
110 Ninjitsu
100 hiding...................(+higher with rings/Gear)
100 Stealth.................(+higher with rings/gear)
100 Fencing................(+higher with rings/gear)
(and choping and changing last one)

Nice assassin spike with DP poison, some some stealth gear, Dp poison ninja stars and smoke bombs, hehe ;)

Thats a really wierd way to go about it, but I'm not keen on offensive necromancy. Its brilliant for PvM and for spawns. But when we get raided, I change back into human form (from wraith - the extra mana), mount up and done my mage book. If you making a stealther there are a few things you should know. 1. You can't hide until your opponent is off your screen or dead. 2. Go round luna and buy up all the old school invisability stuff you can find, mainly cloaks robes and boots. You can run a macro to auto equip them so that you insta invis. When yuou remove them you will be visable once more.

Personally I'd go for a stealth archer. Cos I AM the Dismount Bi@¬<h. Dismount and run, thats my moto :grin:

LOL thanks,i have never made a pvp character and fancied a ninja but i do like my necro and it tends to creep in to virtually all my characters, hehe... I will more than likely get owned but didn't realise that about stealth i can swap a few skills around, I have a few soul stones with some of my spare skills like 100 magery, 110 swords, 80 poison and 80 Chiv....... what do u think? mage/poison/ninja?

I'm makin that template. Using chivalry to heal. Mage poison nija can work very well. Providing that u balance all the skills. Remember that ure weapon skill and poison skill should equal 200. So 120 Fencing and 80 Poison. Fencing is better for poison though. You have a wider range of weapons capable of poison specials.

My only problem with fencing is, the weapons dont do much damage.. In order to use a weapon that will hit a bit harder, you will have to find some sort of 2 handed weapon, but then its really slow. Read up on the template Cutter put up on his nox/macer/ninja. I made the same template, but instead of the 80 hiding and (in my case) 110parry, I used 80 tact, and 110 bushido. I have been doing great with this template, it is VERY offensive, and you will need alot of mana, so I would suggest not using the talisman for necro/ss, and use a totem of the void, to get some lmc. Remember tho, if you are going to be using necro/dexer, you will have to find a balance in your suit where you will have lrc(or carry regs and restock everytime you die) hci/dci/di fc/fcr, lmc, sdi, dex vs. mana(which do you feel you need more of) as well as resists that wont get you wiped out in 2 spells or hits. That is alot to ask for of a suit in my opinion. This is why I dont like to mix a hybrid caster/dexer. You will suffer on both forms of damage output.

Oh and merc, I have seen that version of that template ALOT. There are alot of guys that will deathstrike you with their staff of the magi, and then do their mage dumping on you. I think it is a total BS template tho, because most of these guys dont use a weapon skill, and use parry in that spot instead. I say in order to do the deathstrike, you have to have a weapon skill. Which is probably what people will do now since they cant parry and evade everything in sight, so you will see alot of no parry mages, but tons of deathstrikes with staffs or swds of prosp.

Thannks for the advice I see what you mean, I think i will stick to either one or the other.. i will either go for a nox/mage/ninja or warrior/bushido/evade combo

I went for wrestling on my mage. It works the same as parry with no weapon. I could go for a mage weap and parry tho :grin:

remember evade will work just fine for a warrior, which I see NO problem with. It is their "parry" for mages, as mages have always been able to have parry to block a warriors hits, making them as defensive as a warrior, but able to output better damage without losing a thing. This definately makes warriors a viable template again....

Thats why I use wrestling on my mage. As a weapon skill its crap. But at around 100 skill I block about 30-40% of hits. Just depends on your set up. I need to play UO, having withdrawl symptoms. Moved house and still no internet connection.
