I am not new to the realm of PvP as a dexxer, but as a mage I am. I haven't been into PvP as a mage since before AoS. I wondered if you guys could give me some tips against both dexxers and mages? I can kill other mages decent, but dexxers I have more trouble with -- I disarm them and it seems like a second later they have a weapon again.

Any tips are appreciated.

some sort of stun/para is usually key...on my wrestle mage I love the "x-box" tactic!

I went with fencing as my weapon skill and am using a warfork, I was thinking bleed attack, disarm.

X-box? is that the para fields trick?

its when u use some form of stun on guy with an energy field precasted.

cast energy field...use target next (or select next/mobile via new targetting system) to get him on last target.
Hit yer attack last (autto attacks who last target is) after toggleing stun/para/nerve/or whatever.
Soon as he is stunned, drop the efield ontop of him, then QUICKLY cast a wall o stone, move 90 degrees to the other parallel, and target that.
hes now stuck on one tile.
If you know offence, and are 120 mage (so wall lasts longer) this gives u enough time to kill MOST people, and they cant move, lol.

this is mainly useful vs dexies and arcehrs btw...and it helps to disarm em while dumping after theyre stuck.

vs a mage yer prolly better off just using bleed and stuff...while casting ma fireball ma fireball ma fireball etc

i still advise pots+ninjitsu tho on any pvp char

if you're a necro mage, just spam wither. It requires no skill and is about as deadly as an ebolt. You can just sit at a choke point all day with a couple of your friends and own everyone that appears by hitting one key on your keyboard over and over.

Merc, surely that requires lots of skill............. I recon so anyway.

Necro mages can be fun to play, I'm not very good with mine. I never seem to drop below 4 counts, so I can't be that bad.

Dexxers - Blood Oath, Strangle, Corpse Skin, Pioson Strike, Fire Ball, Evil Omen, Fire ball, Explosion

Mages - Strangle, Corpse Skin, Fire ball, Evil Omen, Fire ball, Poison Strike, Fire ball

Spamming wither doesn't take skill. A 4 year old could do it.

edit: nothing against you unsupportable, I just dont think sitting at choke points spamming one spell over and over is skill. I find it rather boring to do something like that
