Mage/Med/Eval/Resist/Fencing/Poison Template, What Gear?

Just getting back into pvp making this template what on earth should I use for gear? There's so much new stuff anymore I'm lost. Any help would be great.

orny first and formost
then magi hat + armour of fortune
then a ecru ring )75% ep) with atleast 2 fcr (2/5 is passable)

Then as you get better, and build a suit w/ some decent mana regen...drop meditation for ninjitsu (if its a open field pvp type char)

might also consider switching to swords (butcher knife/cleaver) but ubw weaps are not tooo hard to find so really wont matter for you

it's easier to find a ubws kryss than a cleaver though.. personally, you dont technically need the 90 EP setup. if you're going to have med, i'd go with a spirit of the totem/pendant/orny/IRs setup. it's not too hard nowadays to find a decent hci/dci/fc1 ring either.

no room for medi.
the char is not effective in pvp without ninjitsu
also without an ep setup...you will simply die ALOT and get very few kills.

Kryss ubw might be easier to find dunno...but you also have to look at the specials.
Kryss has infect and ai
ai will do...mebee 18 damage on that char
you will not be able to hit anyone as most people nowadays have parry evade etc etc
this means a disarm weapon.
butcher knife is ideal for temp as it has disarm and infect
warfork would be good too vs a mage to bleed but it has no infect.
Cleaverhas bleed + infect.
use the Cleaver vs a wrestle mage, bleed poison deatshtrike as ur casting on him
use the butcher knife as needed to disarm ppl plus nox/ds them.

Kryss is ok but only if you have the tactics and/or di to make armour ignore actually effective.
I believe in using only weaps where i can utilize both specials.
Fact of matter is certain specials are more of an x factor in pvp.

disarm is VERY important

DIsarm
Dismount
Some sort of para (stun, nerve, whater)
Some way to keep him from healing I(mortal, poison, whatever)

armour ignore...sure its good for dealing mass damage quickly, but not w/o tactics+Di

disarm is for newbs! But yea cutter is right, it helps a lot. People will just call you a newb cause they lost.

I heard a rumor you and a few DB4 are xferring to atlantic to fight some VIP. Is this true and when is this going to happen?

maybee...we weer thinking about it
a fwe of us were running around the gate the other night since noone was on cats to fight...moo just are not [providing us w/ a challenge, not even allied to the whole shard like they alerady are
if we get bored enough we will xfer our dexies over just to kill ppl in yew mainly
not to spawn or anyhing

Depending on your suit, you could drop med for ninjitsu, or inscribe. I would say about 12mr + on suit. You will have 120 fighting skill w/ 80 poisoning maybe 85 if you dont have 120 magery.

Mage-120
Eval-120
Resist-120
Fencing-120
Poison-80
____________
560 skill points (assuming 720 is your max)
ninjitsu/inscribe/parry-120/100

680/660 skill points allowing 40-60 in med (if you are human you get 1mr from focus due to the +20 to all skills when they are 0)

Id go swords > fencing with poisoning using a cleaver with hci/hit spell/ssi.
Use an orni if possible, if not, use 1/3 ring/bracer with hci on them (you want max hci for poison so you have the option of using your weapon + bleed = awesome). AI on a mage is overated. I like to try to get 1/3 and 0/3 rings with skills on them. Ninjitsu/magery/eval/meditation 10+. This is equal to 1 more mana regen.

With ninjitsu you can bleed + poison, while they are running Deathstrike them. You will be extremely happy with this build, especially if you have a good connection. Parry would be my second option for obvious reasons. Add dex to this build and you swing faster + get hit less. Inscribe to burn them down after bleed and poison do thier work. All are good options, although i recommend ninjitsu for the ability to escape when dismounted and 40-60 damage deathstrikes. Drop your shield and use a dart/shuriken with DP on it?

P.S. - I disagree with Cutter in the idea that you NEED EPotions in order to stay alive . I only use the pots i pick up off of corpses, and usually its to cure. Even if you use them often, having max hci and poisoning with ninjitsu will allow you to turn to offense while healing with only spells.

I haven't pvp a lot very few times. But the main concern I have with this template is the stats. Using a mage needing intell. and mana, depending on how many spells you want to cast, and using a dexer. The more dex you have equals faster swing speed and hitting harder. I have tried this in PVM and unless you have lots of money to buy the right equipment and armor I don't know how one would set the stats. Please help me with this also ... because I would love to know how to did this!!!!!! Just my two cents...

Fencing weps are pretty easy to hit the swing cap with. At 50 Dex a dagger only needs 10 SSi if any and a Kryss about 20 SSI to both be at the cap. War Fork needs a bit more...255 cap means you can have a natural 100 in INT/STR and DEX at 55. Add items/pots as needed.
