I started a DP ninja the other day and im loving it so far

my template is as follows

120 swords
120 resist
110 ninja
110 anat
100 healing
80 poison
75 chivalry

my suit isnt finished but by the time im done ill be 2/6 with no shield
and i dont even need to chug that much

my question is, what should i look out for in the field?
and should i make any adjustments?

a couple people said drop chiv to 50 and raise anat to 120
and someone told me to drop resist and get parry

You need resist, don't drop it!!!

You'll still have 5 spare skill points if your account is over 4 years, put it in Chivalry.

The template is a popular one for dexxers. Its a good template, no need to change it.

Get rid of anat/heal and try to get to atleast 4fc, now put in parry and bushido in its place. My dp dexer is as follows
110 bush
100 chiv
110 ninjitsu
120 mace
80 poison
115 resist
80 tactics(you can throw this wherever you want, I decided tactics for DI)

My forms of healing are chiv heals, confidence, and pots when I have them. I took a variaton of Cutters nox/ninja and customized it a bit my way. I keep my dex at 90, and use weaps that are 3s and under. I keep my str high, and mana is 100. MR is important here, as well as mana leech on weapons.

I try to get this off as a combo, nox/ds/holy light(to stop cures from mages) HL HL HL, nox again, weapon special like conc blow/crushing blow, OoooOooOO

You're going to get owned without parry. And when I say owned, I mean OWNED. If you're a dexxer, and you don't have parry, then don't bother being a dexxer, go be a mage or something. You will always die to another dexxer with parry, cause he'll hit you, and you won't hit him.

no i wont, ive destroyed 3 dexxers with finished templates who told me i would get ROFLPWNZNEDT already and i dont even have 60 strength. maybe im wrong and maybe i had a huge act of luck, but i was holding my own with infection/spamming holy light/bleed just fine and i dont even have 50 dex yet for that matter, the char is 3 days old. its all about how you use it, i think.

The people you fought were horrible then, or poser trammel pvper's. There is no way you could beat anyone who really pvp's a lot with only 60 str and 50 dex. No way at all. You'd die in like 5 seconds, if not faster. This is not a burn on you, my friend, I'm just saying matter of factly, there is absolutely no way you could beat someone who pvp's a lot with those stats.

I'll assume your int was low as well, so I dunno how you could be spamming infection or holy light... especially with only 75 chiv, you'd be fizzling a ton with holy light. And also, your heals with bandaids would take over 9 seconds with such low dex. I dunno, sounds to me you just fought some big newbies, no offense.

edit: my mistake, you didn't beat them, but you held you own. Excuse me for not realizing that. In any case, if you try taking that char and actually fighting a true red, or for that matter, anyone you know who pvp's a lot you will not survive long.

Also, what shard do you play on? If you are on Atlantic, I can train with you and show you somethings if you like

I dont have parry on my nox/macer/HL spammer/DS spammer, and do pretty well.

Its a VERY offensive template though, and when i start to get wailed on, I will go down, but usually I can hammer out some serious damage before this happens.

Having lots of ways to heal tends to help me, I can heal in no less than 4 ways: Confidence, SS, Chiv, Pots. I can run and heal, or I can stand still and heal, if a group decides to gank me, I break into a run and use confidence. Fighting, I tend to use chiv heals at 3/6 and confidence.

I know you didnt mean any offense, and that if I went up against any true pvper id get destroyed. I was merely saying that at such an early stage it this template already seems rather effective. The only reason I havent dropped healing and anatomy yet is because I cant afford to get a 2/6 setup with lots of MR for fast chiv heals, I just dont have that kind of bank. I do play atlantic, whats your char name? Oh and I GMd my chiv to make use of the extra skill points I hadnt finished yet and I will set to lower it later when need be, my stormgrips give me a int bonus and have decent lmc thats why i was able to pull off alot of holy lights

I run a chiv character, with swords. I don't use any artifacts apart form a 1/2 chaos shield. I only have 3/6 casting, until I get my ornie, then I'll have 4/6.

I made a suit that is soooo nice last nite, 43 DI 40 LMC 15 SDI 8MR
I have 120 Meditation anyway, + 20 focus. My mana rockets. My resists are currently 66 70 70 60 75, Not sure if I want to go human or not, I have room for the 20 Focus i'd get anyway, so the only bonus is being able to carry more. But I think on this build I'd rather have the extra mana.

I forgot to add, 1/6 casting.

I've got a staff of the Magi. Its for a ninja mage. That'll give me 2/6 casting.

I'm just a little worried about corpse skin/poison strike combo.

I can wear a vet robe to get 69 Phys.

I'll be adding a Quiver of Infinity later to get extra damage. And maybe swap my stormgrips for some leather gloves, with better resists on them.

My main combo will be Explosion Flamestike Deathstrike, With 120 ninja, if they run it'll hit them for around 35-40.

Or I can use mini spells, and deathstrike, they'll run to try and get a heal off. As my mini spells will fizzle most of their heals.
