I am severely outdated on what is "good" and what "sucks" in pvp. Coming back after 5 years of not playing has introduced me to the fact that my characters are in gimp gear (statless gear, back when i played...you pvped in crap or a robe, otherwise you would end up cussing at the screen when you lost your vanquishing broadsword). I have around 1 mil left over from back then... sadly a good amount of my rares and other gold making items were in my house, which is long gone.

The 8th age will give me the majority of expansions, and I am steering toward a ninja type or a samurai.

So what would you suggest out of these classes for a pvp centered character? I like the idea of duel wield, so samurai might be the best bet. But I have heard nothing but good things coming from the ninja class. I have always been a rogue at heart in mmo's(aside from EQ where i decided to mix things up a bit with a wizard... 4 years wasted!). Sadly my thief is no longer useful with the current requirements that this game brings forth. (*cough* insurance) and he was my main pvp centered character. I still have my warrior.. but the samurai/ninja/paladin sound like upgraded warriors.

So what do you all suggest for a returning player? This game requires a good amount of time to level up all skills required per class, so I want something I will enjoy, and that wont be gimped in a month. I have a little over a million to invest into this character, plus more once i finish off my old tamer and start the farming.

what is your objective...run around and kill ppl or contribute to a group and be able to help raid/defend spawns

I am not yet sure how this game works these days.. I would say factions... no clue what spawns you speak of. I want to be able to gold my own though.
