its all about the right gear...and its also allabout stats and mana regen (wish that damned gorget had mr 2!!!)

still tho...its not all gear. Believe it or not its also skill (and sadly speed+connection)
but take a guy in my suit with a good connection who zigs when he was supposed to zag...and he is just another newb really.

Have to know what special to do when...
when to run...
when to hide...
when to go on the offensive
when to hit holy light at the exact right instant to interupt his/her attempts to cure poison

have to disarm AFTER deathstrike (most ppl run instantly after being disarmed so...)

much more to it really than just gear...I mean yes I wont deny that you need gear...
a good pvper in a sub-par suit will usually lose to a pvper of equal skill whos gear is better...
However...a good pvper in the same sub-par suit can usually beat a sub-par pvper in a godly suit...if that makes sence =p

oh and it took me some time to get that suit put together...and lots and lots of gold.
paid the equivalent of 70ish million just for the sleeves+gorget combo
10 mill for gloves (lucky me!)
10 mill for legs

all 3 weaps i was lucky enough to have given/loant to me by friends so...

Man, finding the right gear is tough. Went searching today, and it's not so much the price, I can cover that fine, but finding the right mods and resist levels are insanely hard. I'll also have to do a little revamping of my one pvp character. He's set to do really well PvM, but in terms of Pvp, yea... good luck on that one, haha. In any case, thanks for answering all my questions on the topic, you've been very helpful.

dexer needs massive hps simply to live thru mages dumping...unless he can evade but that still wont save him vs other dexies...and god forbid u get disarmed try evading then
better have good hps =p

yes I completely agree, dexxers need LOTSA HPs. My swdsman runs with 128hp usually, depending on that suit for the day, but its usually 128 or 133. His usual is
128(was thinking of dropping 5, to go to 150 dex)

see im able to have those hps and still good mana in part to my low (realatively) dex...dex is only 65
no healing for one (dont have to worry bout dex for fast bandaids)
...alsomostly jousting style pvp..that is; chase around, land one hit, chase more, land another hit.
max swing rate doesnt matter for that...

if you have anat heal tho i wouldnt reccomend going w/ low dex like that...or your bandaids will be way to slow to rely on.

also dex supposedly factors into the % you have to parry w/ parry skil...but I seem to do just fine at 65

ohhh, the new template I am doing is an exact copy of yours, minus the hiding, I am going to substitute tactics in instead of hiding, but hes gonna be a macer/ninja/nox. I have been going around rounding up some macing weaps this week, and some ubws poisoning weaps. This template is going to kick some butt. I am glad I saw it. My gear is similar to yours but it doesnt have the high fire, but its still very hp+ and mana+ oriented, also will have 35lmc, which will help.. I plan on going like 125, 60(5w/crimson so will be 65) rest will be in mana, and I have eaten a 25 on this guy. I need to turn him blue first, he has like 7 counts, and I want to be able to go practice in tram first, and take him out and get used to him instead of jumping straight into ganks...... What I am doing is throwing away the archery stuff like arch, bush, anat, heal. raising his chiv up to 100, lowering tact to 80, and building his macing, nox, and ninjitsu.
