the 500k is a fee to cover the charge of placing the check on the vendor if you figure the check is going to sit there for any length of time they did not want to lose money waiting for someone to come along and buy the check.

They wanted someone to buy the check to put money on the vendor and pay it for a length of time the problem is that no one is willing to simply give them a free 500k AND be nice enough to help them get a large amount of gold on the vendor since they are obviously lazy and cannot carry some gold to it lol
