Right now I play a tamer/mage. Her skills are:
Taming 111.2 going to 115
Lore 115
Eval int 110
Magery 115
med 110
vet 110.2 with a 120 scroll.

The rest are thrown into resist until I acutally work my other skills.

Keep in mind, this is a pvm char. I can pvp with her, but hate doing it. Being a red tamer sucks lol.

What I want to do is add in some barding. Peacemaking would be nice. I don't want to drop tame/lore cause some critters are hard enough as it is for me. If I lower vet, won't I los stable space? It goes by your vet, tame, and lore total to decide what slots yu have in the stables.

So, what I want to know, is how ya'll would do it to add barding.

My question is, how much do you use magery? Are you casting lots of offensive spells? Here is my suggestion: drop Evaluate Intelligence and Meditation.

I say this because as a tamer, I have found veterinary to be crucial, so dropping that is not a good idea. Now, since you're not PvPing, and you're pet is going to be doing most of the work and any other spawn will be peaced, I'm not seeing much of a need for Evaluate Int and Meditation (besides, you can always toss Mana Regen items on to compensate).

And yes you would lose stable space if you drop vet it is calculated as follows (if im not mistaken)

240 distributed on the 3 skills give 5 stable slots (i cant remember the others)
GM gives another, elder one more, and legendary in any of the 3 skills yet another one so lets say you are legendary in all 3 skills then you have gm (1) + elder (1) + legendary (1) times with 3 (3 skills) = 9 + 5 for having 240 total equals 14 which is maximum..

I agree with Deraj, as long as your not using Magery for anything other than the occasional heal and recalling/gating.

If you do use Magery for offense, then you'd have to rely on items to make up for skills. I.E. tomb of lost knowledge +15 Magery, jewels with + to any skills you have, that talisman that gives +5 to animal lore (i think, the bird one), etc. the list goes on. But to make Peacing effective I'd suggest taking it to 115, with music as high as you can get (120 if possible).

Hm. I do use magery tho, but could prolly shave off some of the points.

Bah. Maybe I'll just make another char into a bard.
