XFire Oblsolete?

Discussing message tools to a friend and he mentioned XFire. I went to the website but it looks as if it hasn't been touched in over a year. Is this tool no longer used?

I tried using it but it would never recognize the UO client. I wrote to them and they did write back saying they do not support 3D. So I uninstalled it.

Since they wrote back I guess they are still around, maybe the website just isn't updated very often?

What exactly is Xfire? I have never heard of it.

Pretty neat little IM proggy that also tracks what games you are playing, what server you are on, how long you play the game for, etc.

Dunno when you went to the site but 4 days before you posted this post they put out an updated version of the client. So there is activity.

before i download it will it be on the punkbusters list? im getting nervous on downloading anything now adays .. if it is ok thats a interesting way to talk to my mom and pop heheh hint hint

I was just wondering that myself today about punkbuster. It isn't a cheat so I can't see them having a problem with it. Does anyone know of the timeframe for Punkbuster? Like when it is supposed to be implimented?
