Agreed. Whether it's UO or any other MMO, online gaming is all about being able to play with others.

It's the friends I have in UO that keep me playing UO. Many in our guild/alliance have been playing together since UO started... obviously that's a long time. It's more like a family now.

I can sort of relate to the shyness thing. I tend to be more introverted in general, and as a result tend to be more of a loner overall in MMORPG's. I think everyone who posted hit the nail on the head about what sets UO apart from other MMO's, in terms of the grind factor. For me personally, the freedom that UO offers without the pressure of grinding to keep up with the "upper crust" of high lvl players in other MMO's is what appeals to me.

Thanks to everyone who's boosted my UO spirit

I'm even in the Vespan guild now with one of my Flagg brothers, Leland. I have a steady job for Randall Flagg, my taming smith filling out low level BoDs for 5k a chuck. Dylan Flagg is annoyed at Lord Paidrics boxes but keeps on at them

I even have a back story for all of them. Which is great. Now all I need is some where to write the histories down and I'm good to go
