Why play?

Ulfhedinn the more you get involved in uo the more enjoyable time you will have when i first started i was completly lost , then people would just come up to me and give me gold and equimpement . the uo comunity is very tight i still say tu to the guy who gave me my first exceptional katana branded with the name for newbies only which i passed down to a newbie myself

You'll get days like that when you play alone. Dont dispair though cause some of the best times can be adventuring alone

If you havent already..get some rune books and explore. You'll die but you'll also learn your strengths and weaknesses. Soon you will be killing instead of being killed..thats when the fun starts

You seemed a nice enough player when my character met up with you in Haven and helped you with a few things my friend.

You should not be so harsh on yourself, you came across well i thought.

I actually had a great time on UO today

I played some lute, mined, made maps, practiced lockpicking and had some chats

Saw a Ch00b - who shall remain nameless - that apparently finds it hilarious to leave magic trapped chests around New Haven. Went on my first Treasure Hunt with a lot of help from a man I met in Haven. I think just today has reassured me about why UO was not only one of the first MMORPG's its still arguably the best. Being able to do anything I want when I want to do it and meeting some great people on the way

I guess I'd just had a few bad days and wanting everything on a plate. Just needed to know that there was a reason to play apart from to grind and die

I too play on Europa and if you're ever in a mess or looking for something to do just send me a PM or ICQ me, however if you are looking for a guild a friend of mine recently started one (called NF - Night fall) its still a growing guild but has members of all levels of ability and different styles and am sure they would be more than willing to help you out with anything you need.

Besides the depth which takes years to appreciate, the ability to actually log in for only 90 minutes or 2 hours and get some things accomplished has great appeal. In some of the other games if you don't have time for the 4-6 hour runs for X equipment, well your behind already.

Best advice I can give is, get used to dying up to the point where it doesn't bother you. Then just enjoy the game.

Silverfoot nailed it there...get used to taking dirt naps. I remeber when I reached that point and it was nice being able to not get mad and enjoy the fun. Oh and welcome home!
