Do you remember back when people actually spoke to one another, had more events than we do now, and did things with others more often?

What was your favorate hang-out place before AoS and maybe alittle after AoS.

Mine was the smith shot north of brit bank. I remember sitting there and repairing people's armor and people would come for an order, theyd order gold plate armor or something like that. When someone needed a smithing item theyd go there.

The Lost Lands in Fel most other times. Champ Spawns were awesome back then. Still are great.

If memory serves, AoS came in Dec 02 (?) and I started playing in late January 03.

I spent alot of time in Haven for the first 2-3 weeks while figuring everything out as back then there were a great deal of new players there and vets willing to help...

Mining in Minoc was great too (public forge, hurray!) and mining by my first house when I got it (little ways south of Destard, right on the mountainside) then crawling thru Shame and starting to help new people I met there...

That is one of the best memories of any game that I have...

I was a part of a guild that i really liked... but after AoS a lot things happened and we had a big falling out... it suxed.. although it wasn't AoS's fault..

I was still on Lake Superior at that time. We did alot of Ish and dungeon runs and speant our events at player run towns. I miss them the most.

Pre-AOS...hmm...hard to remember that far back! lol

I was on Baja then...and was pretty young into the game. I hung out mostly at my friend's small tower (which he later gave to me). Basically all I did in those days was pick cotton and die from giant spiders.

The year before AOS came out was filled with chaos and sadness. I was in a guild that I loved, but our guild leader was extremely ill. She spent alot of time in and out of the hospital and basically the guild fell apart in her absence. Our hangout was Moonglow, right along the fence. She passed away in August and I lost touch with all but 3 of my guildmates. After AOS I think those 3 guildmates quit too

Dont you guys remember wen people actually had "spots" at brit bank. Like they were there so often people knew where they would stand lol. I thought that was cool.

I used to hunt in Despise and shame alot. I was in a guild SNB, had some very dear friends in it. But slowly they all dissappeared except for one that I know of.
I went to the brit smith shop alot to get repairs.
Right above the brit cemetary was a vendor owned by a guy named(cant remember now), he gave me my first set of gm armour and a decent sword. I still have that armour and sword, it is a sentemental thing now. Also my gm gave me a small shack on ice island for a wedding present, I still have that house and will till the day UO stops cause it is a very sentimental thing
Those were the good old days I was so memorized by UO then I just couldnt get enough of it. Almost lost my wife(gf then) cause I played so much that I wouild forget about her. However after we got married I got her hooked and we been fully active in UO since:grin:

Haven was clearly what I called "home" as I'd started playing some 3-4 months before AoS as I recall. So still something of a nooblet, but somewhat into the game already. Only had my one character at the time but it was great, loads of folks to talk to. Was on Europa and still am.

At that time I spent lots of time in Shame whacking ellies since it was good training and a good source of gold for the level of warrior I was. Once AoS hit I made my second character who worked on tailoring, this because of the ridiculous lag right after AoS. I simply couldn't hunt anything, so I started crafting :grin:
