I'm sure most of you have places you like to go when you want to play but don't feel like doing a grind or competition. And I was wondering where some of the places you like to go are.
I used to like the Star Room, but ever since they turned off teleporting onto the stars--it lost its appeal to me. Of course, eventhe star room sometimes had people who didn't go for the scenery.

There's of course sometimes the challenge of walking all the way to the bottom of Hythloth or such, but the teleporter along the way can be annoying if you don't have magery or ninjitsu.

And quite frankly, weaker characters tend to walk back in ghost form from that trip (and I think Trammel Hythloth has a bug that ghosts can't walk out of the dungeon).

This is what happens when my guild gets bored, we pick on our guild leaders... Sin was training macing, and someone was asking how they could join our guild. Someone told him to trade a fish to Sin. Sin thought it was hilarious, so I decided to take the joke too far. I went on an unguilded char and was asking how to join, they told me to get him a fish, but instead, I built him a fish house. Sin started to get mad so I made books that said "If you want to join X, trade Sin a fish". Sin got so many fish that day... it was hilarious.

Oogling the housing designs and crafty ways folks us the art combined with Bargain hunting for 120 scrolls, clothing and unique weapons!

(Not too unlike RL spending the day going up and down Haight Ashberry St. in SF and looking at the colorful victorian houses and going through all the second hand/vintage shops).

Heh - no doubt its cause of just saying "the Haight" all of the time and never even thinking about full names.

Though if i said the Haight - some folks might get confused and be asking themselves 'He hates what? Boy, is he ever a bad speller"

Sure do - our country isn't that young after all - lol. Besides if we didn't have victorian houses - where would have all of our classic hounted houses?

The one i live in was previously the 'haunted' Crazy Cat Lady's house of the block before i restored it. Once I got over the inital shock of the neglect of the place (Wild cats wriggling up through the holes in the sub floor from the dirt cellar Chasing rats and squirrels into the bathroom


"PPST - HEY MR. YOU GONNA EAT THAT MOUSE?"



Hmm - either way quite fitting for a gothic artist.

It's funny you mentioned walking to the bottom of Hyloth, because I did just that yesterday when I got a lil bored. And yeah, I had to walk out twice as a ghost.. those liches and their necro spells ganked me good. And its a loong walk to the shrine.

But there is a yellow NPC like Demon down there now, which I don't remember seeing before (been awhile since I've been down there though) called the 'Unshackled Demon.' You can't attack him and he doesn't attack you. Anyone have any idea who he is or what he's about? Be curious to know. : )

Ok.. yeah I had to go back to the links Tabbitha gave me on that. All that must have happened when I was on break. Leave game for a couple months and no telling what you come back to.

Lately I've gone back to the old haunts to see what there like, the sewers of Brit for example. Lots of fun 8 years ago when I was battling slimes and rats for the first time, and wondering what would happen if I brought an animal down there.

I spend my boredom-ridden hours in the solen hive collecting zoogi fungus. I kind of enjoy it down there.

Otherwise, I'm usually working up some skill I've been putting off.

I do the same thing when bored. I do the ant quests and give the bags away to people who need them.

i usually try to organize the mess of chests that is my house. currently im trying to come up with a theme for halloween. other than that i like to go wandering around tram and finding idocs or good shopping deals. if all else fails u can usually find me on pacific filling up kegs lol.

Lately when bored I've been exploring Guild Wars.

Hehe, another thing I do with Hythloth is use it to train hide and stealth when the skill is nearly ready but not quite completely dependable.

One of the things I like about that dungeon is that it has so many wandering monsers and corridors, so it keeps the tension up while walking from top to bottem and back again stealthing. Add to that doing it in felucca and running across a few strenger mages rushing in not knowing you're there, and it's actually fun
