Friend was lucky enough to get a heartwood runic dovetail saw and gave it to me. I wanted to learn what I might make for best results from this rare tool, so I headed off to test 38.
Went to Luna bank today on the test shard to try out the runic dovetail saw and make some weapons and armor. One of the bokutos is definitely not right! It was labeled as follows:

*Damage Increase 12%* should be at least 35% when made by a gm carpenter. However in the one I made, the Damage Increase is either not stacking with the expected gm bonus, or totally cancelled out by the runic's properties. I also made a NON-exceptional bokuto that had 61% damage increase with the same character with frostwood and the heartwood runic saw. I would expect the 12% DI to be non-exceptional and the 61% to be gm labeled!
So.... what would you do? Try making armor, weapons, shields, or sell it???

I would wait to burn through the kit on your production shard character until you can find a definate answer from a GM or a dev of some sorts. Dont want to waste a good thing like that if youre gonna get crap...

When you make a weapon using a regular saw are you geting the GM bonus?

Yes , I was able to get exceptional and non with a regular dovetail saw. I have made the house on test public, with the pieces i kept locked down. About 50% of what i made was tossed out at the bank. It is a short run east of Luna (past a few crystal els sometimes!) at the coordinates :86o45'N x 34o7'W.

By the way, may I ask what prices you were selling your saws at?

I've sent the bug report through the in-game gump that lets send a bug report to uo.com/mailBug.html and haven't received any notification of receipt of the report. I also thought GMS don't visit test shards. Any idea on how to reach a Dev Team member? I'd also love to beg them for help on another few topics like pets with lost hit points and griefers at auctions!
