What to do with all these gems?

Im fairly certain that the Eccru ring always has the 75% EP on it, its the other mods (if any) that are random...

You may be right on that one Kettle, I'm just assuming it doesn't always have it on cause I've crafted a bunch of the other rings and their "special" mod usually only come on the ring/bracelet when it's exceptional, but I may be wrong. I'm going to try to make a couple ecru rings and i'll see what happens.

Also for people who don't know what to do with Brillian Amber that you get from lumberjacking, they can be used with smithing to make True Radiant Scimitars that have night sight.

A fast blade with night sight is very nice for newer characters who almost always start as human. You can also make them with low end runics to add even more mods to them.

p.s. I use TONS of blue diamonds making runic silver etched maces which are my favorite weapons in the game.

Hokay...

New gems while mining? Do you need the expansion to dig them up, or is it somthing you can do with the older ones??

I haven't done much with UO in ages, but I still have it active on the computer, think the last expansion I bought was the one with Luna and Umbra in it.

The Gems have been around for over a year (I think) so that would put it with Mondains Legacy expansion. So UO:ML or 9th ana disks would be able to get the benifit. 8th age, UO:SE and before would not (again, assuming I have the right concept of when they starting spawning)

Wow. That is ridiculously stupid.

Do any of the non-tinker ML craftables often not fit the description? I mean, Scrappers always have the base mods, yes?
