I would give Siege a go if I was able to develop a character as quickly as a normal shard. It's too much trouble starting from scratch all over again and then to have the gains capped and so slow is just too much for me.

I don't miss the Fel days, and Siege reminds me of the pain of those days.

I'd go with "All of the above" probably, but being PKed is always at the top of my list of things I cannot handle about this game (in particular places and times).

I don't even remember how many times in the past I quit the game right after being PKed for the bazillienth time. Some of are just wooses ya know.

The only thing that stops me, is the biggest roleplay community is on Europa. Skill gain is a little thing but I dont play the game to power level. If their is good roleplay thats good enough for me.

The Community doesn't appeal to me there.

I remember visiting Siege with a brand new character. I thought to myself "I better make sure they know I'm new and not a threat, 'cause I would just like to chat and say hello," so I wore nothing but a pair of short pants and wandered out of Luna to meet the locals. I was dead before I passed the first vendor house... So I came back, retrieved my pants, and promptly died again... Third times the charm right? Wrong. Died again, without getting a single word in edge wise. I tried twice more, no one would say anything to me aside from Kal Vas Flam. The lesson: never wear short pants on Siege Perilous, you will be treated with overt hostility.

I personally love the siege ruleset. But its just the roleplay that I like and that is here on europa.
The aspect of only have 1 character is also something im not a fan of. I like variety in UO thats what makes it the game it is. I think two characters per account would be nice.
If the roleplay community moved to siege, I would pack up everything I own and follow suit.
I actually have a character on siege but have not really played him its just getting the time to be honest, gaining skills takes a few months to hit anything decent.

I had some bad times too on Siege, but the community there that I've experienced ranges from people that should die IRL to people who are nice and are willing to help. It's about a 50/50 split, but I'm working with a small sample size (maybe 10-15 people).

never tried siege, so can't vote in the poll, but from what i'm reading here, don't think i ever will try it.
