UO is a way of life....

Of course not, because you guys know how bad I spell

I look at UO as a way to be a kid again, eventhough I am old and married and have to be responsible.... I can log in and do whatever the heck I want to do. If I want to go kill people, I can. If I want to go kill monsters I can, if I want to just sit around and do nothing, I can.

There was a point in my early UO life where I had no direction on what to do. I didnt know there was this huge world out there outside my little world of Malas. Fighting the Orcs up the road and the red NPCs just down from my house. I did this for 6 months and said "ok I'm done. I'm bored". 6 months later me and my best friend decided to give it another go around. We found a book on Amazon that kinda helped us out and to explore and what not. We ended up forming a rather big guild (60 or so peeps) and an alliance of over 100. We were having the best time of our lives now that we realized there were other people like us, lost and broke... So we decided to go and make it a point to help out all those that were like us, and we felt reborn. That alliance we built up is gone now, but I find my time with other people who are just as equally fun to play with. Just now instead of killing monsters, we kill other people...

So yah, I feel like it lets me be a kid again and allows me to get lost in a world that isn't my own.

UO had always been more about community to me. I've made some great in-game friends, and have even made some friends irl that I met in the game. Even making in-game 'enemies' is on the fun side for me.
