So I'm training my warhorse. Judging by his stats, he should be a better tank than the WW for physical/fire hitting things. I like the fact that when I say "all kill" with him and my mare, he always gets the first hit.

My warhorse/mare combo takes a WW WAY faster than the ww/mare combo, but I have to vet a lot more.

I was just wondering what you guys have found them to be good for. I think they will be the highest damage combo when I finally get around to maxxing his training, but I'm not sure.

I know he can't tank like a gdragon though

Did two Trav;s with the dread mare combo, I was happy.

Doubt I will bother training my dread up honestly. Maybe if I'm really bored. I am too in love with my greater dragon. -.- She hits most peerless bosses for 60-80 with melee. <3<3 And her wrestling isn't maxed yet nor her anatomy.

I was thinking of trying a dread/bake combo.

I just talked to a guy who uses dread/bake and swears by it. I've never used a bake, so I couldn't say if they are better or worse.

Well, bake are about as powerful as nightmares I think but they have a little bit better resists I think. Not sure though. They dont have the breath weapon like a nightmare, but they do have a bleed attack I think.

The cast spells, and also might have more max hp and stats? I haven't had a bake in a long time.

I use my War Horse to consume a valuable Stable Slot ... j/k I replaced My Dragon with the Dread and pretty much use the Dread were and when I would the Dragon.

You replaced a regular dragon? or a greater?

I haven't found the situation yet where my dread horse is better than my rune beetle.

Maybe for swoop farming? They have ok physical resist and a lot of hits.

bakes have higher max hp, and much higher resists than a mare. they are the best 2 slot tanks in the game, and rune beetles are the highest dps 3 slotter in the game. i sold all of my dreadhorses and i don't plan on training or even taming another one.

but, i'm sentimental. I'm keeping my war horses. to answer the OP, just go to UO Stratics - Hunter's Guide - Welcome! and look for anything that does not cast magic, and does mainly physical and poison damage (Flesh Renderers come to mind). As mentioned, Swoops do only physical damage, however, they have like 120-140 wrestling. It would take some serious vetting, I would imagine. i'm training mine on rotting corpses, but RC arent the best to fight.
