Like I have mentioned in other posts, I hated the change, but I've adapted, no big deal. The worst part though is now guild hunts. We now take 1-2 designated runners, who do nothing but ferry gold, so those folks miss the hunt part. Yes, they get a cut, and we rotate it, but with limited peeps already, it takes more away just to manage the logistics of the hunt, which I don't like.

We did Lord Oaks last night in a duo guild hunt. It took us longer to ferry the gold back to a guildhouse, then to one bank account, and cut checks for everyone, than to kill Lord Oaks. Ugh!

The Economy is cripled pretty badly right now...

Mega Inflation is normal, according to UO economists... by poring Billions of gold into the economy, every month, from every major spawn site in the game, they have succeeded in totally destroying the economy...

The FoF stated quite clearly, that they KNOW where they made mistakes, but they refuse to actually DO anything about it... The changes to BoS will NOT do anything to slow the flow of Gold into the players hands... As many have said below "they just need more ppl, charges, BoSes, etc" and ALL the Gold that spawns IS banked...

So How IS this change suppost to slow the flow of Gold? It simply pennalizes the single player, so they can't do it ALLOWN... or with a single BoS, but it CAN be done with multiple BoSes and several players...

Sad thing is, they also stated the solution to the problems in the same FoF... They called them "Drains or Sinks" and they didn't DO anything to change them...

If they think "Insurance" is a Large drain on the Gold supply, they should put new batteries in their calculators...

Insurance IS the ONLY drain on the gold supply... Items purchased off of NPC is such a small amount, you can't really count them in the calculations...

They could change the Economy for the better by:

-eliminating gold as a drop at large spawns...
-make all items wear out and break, so they need replacing...
-increase ALL items that spawn as loot, AND offer them ALL on an NPC somewhere in the game... They could be creative and still maintain "Rarity".....
-allow Crafters to make any item in the game +10% on quality... I don't think they need an expansion to do this one....
-allow NPC to buy ANY item in the game from players... at a fair price...

IMO, they DON'T need to offer Gold as a reward for doing a Large spawn... Players CAN always convert any item into Gold very easily, IF enough items spawn for everyone presant... If an NPC offered even 1/2 of the current value of an item, players would still chose to sell to another player...

But they WON'T do that either because they are deliberatly manipulating "Rarity" in an unreasonable manner.... Basicly, the ONLY way to succeed in UO is to Purchase, for US$, all the items and Gold you need from Pay site.... Whom have a very large inventory of ALL UO items...

Makes me wonder WHY the players don't have access to these items IN THE GAME.... What's the Master Plan here?....
