![]() | What do YOU look for in a Guild? Hello folks, As a Role Player, I myself look for a good, fair sized active guild that enjoys quality role playing and interacts with a good potion of the role playing community. I also enjoy PvP battles in a controled RP environment, preferably good or neutral aligned with a good, strong Lore/Background to it. Thats my preference, i'm curious as to what is yours. For many years, ive saught the 'perfect guild', but there is always SOMTHING thats out of place or not quite right. Id like people to use this thread to post what they like in a guild, or perhaps your in a guild and want to say what you like about that guild. This can be used by aspiring guild masters as a resource before constructing their future guilds, or perhaps as a good frame for current guild masters to seek advice on how to improve themselves. Guild Recruiting is a difficult business as people will not join a guild their not interested in, so the question I pose to you is. . . What would a guild have to do, for you to join it? What sells a guild to you? Answers bellow and have a good afternoon! ![]() ![]() |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: What do YOU look for in a Guild? *wanders into the thread* Hail and well met. I have only ever sought membership in one guild. Any other guild that I just so happen to join or quite possibly run was merely by accident or unusual circumstance. A good guild is one that has a clearly defined goal and purpose. For the guild I joined, they would stand at the Britain bank nearly every day just "hanging out" and always, always in character. Many would talk to the guildmaster about joining and he would interview them right there on the spot; most were turned down. It wasn't a matter of being elitist, but rather, finding people that were compatible. A good guild is one that leaves an impression. It delights people, and at the same time, makes other upset. But because of this, people will remember the guild, long after it's gone. That has been the case with both guilds I've been in. It's all about the purpose, and the people. Good people, and a strong purpose. Well, that's my theory, anyhow. ![]() Still we loom in the mists as the ages roll away, And we say of our folk, "they are here!" That they built us and they died and you'll not be knowing why, Save we stand on the bare plains of Wiltshire. |
