The closest I have come to "solo'ing" a Greater Dragon was me as the meat shield, and three mages healing me. I was using a bushido/chiv/swords/vampire, using EoO, Consecrate, lightning strike, and honor, while swinging a soul seeker (i know, not the right slayer type) for the mana leech. We actually killed two greaters this way in the span of a couple minutes, but my armor took a massive beating. So, not actually solo, since I had the mages healing my massive wounds.

Ogre lords and wisps in Fel for faction silver, blood elementals, balrons, daemons for honor/fame/training pets, onis, named critters in Bedlam, less popular Fel champ spawns for 10th anniversary items, miasma & swoop, gamans and priests of mondain for the Ancient World quest... plus any minor meanies I bump into while doing the aforementioned.

Oh, I also occasionally farm some orc brutes for a ridiculous pile of shadow iron ore... and just for sport, the odd yamandon. I used to do the odd Ancient Wyrm for fun too, but since they got beefed up it's gotten too ridiculous for my poor archer.

There's surely more, but those are what I can come up with right now.

It is not really a monster, but my current passion is going to each of the original dungeons and staring at the entrance fighting my way to every level, corner and dead end and back out again.

I have not idea why but I find it really fun, it makes me feel like I conquered the place and it lets me explore every section of them.

RPG, that actually sounds fun.

How much ore do the brutes drop? I may have to start doing this....

Yeah, killing the shadow irons is actually faster than mining it for me. I just take a packy and leave him inside a safe area and keep running back to him.

It's let me recycle a lot of the garbage bods I have sitting around.

On the Orc Brute topic: if you wear a Mask of Orcish kin (i think is the name?) while you are farming the Brutes, the regular orcs will leave you alone. If I remember correctly, so will the Brutes, until you attack them. Just food for thought.
