Okay... So I have been gone for Quite some time now...about 5 months. I keep quitting and playing again. I can't seem to find what is right for me in this game! I have been playing nonstop though for 8 years and just this recent year I'm not too sure. It sometimes just gets so boring.

I do not have Mondains legacy or any of the other new expansion packs. What should I do? Just looking for opinions!

Take a step back and play casually. I don't care how much a game changes, in 8 years it will have boring points, and when that happens, take a break or play very casually. You're getting bored because you're getting tired of what you're doing. Reinvent your Britannian lifestyle and start anew. Go back to simple things you enjoyed when you were a newb.

The videogame is just a past time that relaxes us. So, play it and relax.

I'd pick up a copy of UO: 9th Anniversary and upgrade. It gives access to the ML content, which is really worth the price. Without it, you're missing out on a lot of content that should renew your interest in the game.

Of course, it might be wiser to wait until UO: Kingdom Reborn is released later this year.

When I get bored I tend to go a do a dreadhorn or something like that. Find a guild that suits you. That is the best advice I can give you. I'm currently in a PvP guild, there is always something to do. But I have got bored a few times. Thats when I go and sit in my house and train tailoring.

But finding a guild that appreciates you is always handy. If you have RL friends that play UO then run with them.

And REMEMBER, its only a game. Don't let it take over your life. I let it, from time to time and it just makes everything more difficult.

Running your own guild can have its benifits. It can be quite rewarding to see your recruits getting better.

There is soo much scope to get different things out of the game.

I go through phases. My 9 year anniversary was this past December, and the last few years, my cycle has been to play from October to around April or May, then I end up taking the summer off as I tend to be more busy (though this year I think I might stick around!) Finding a guild is the absolute best way to maintain interest in the game, IMHO. I've gone for years straight playing alone, and that really limits what you can do in the game. With a group, there are a ton more possibilities - which makes it way more interesting for me.

I am in the same boat. But alas, there is hope.
Jump on to Shard of the Dead II and head to the Vampire Wars area. You can get there from Brit Bank.....It is a wonderful place......Be whoever you want, whenever you want....And then.....let the slaying begin.......Look for me (Crazy Man). Always looking for someone new to kill..er..um...I mean join the CMC.

I wish there was a way to somehow consolidate the shards. There are just too few people on most shards.

I wish we could trade shards for free, even though it would prolly ruin the individual economies.
