First off, let me say how excited I am to finally be part of the UOForums community, and look forward to both doing a lot of reading, as well as posting in the days ahead. Now, let me introduce myself. I've played UO since just around late 1997 (first on a friend's account) and then got my own account and characters and have been playing ever since. My first character, "Target," had an appropriate name...being a newbie-dark-lord in the days of the Notoriety System.  Folks that were there recall that anyone with that low of karma went red automatically...man, did I sure wonder why nobody would res me in town...had to run to the orc fort repeatedly to get ressed. About a week later I figured out there were skills, and 'resurrect with penalties' probably wasn't such a good idea in retrospect.  Many of you on the Catskills shard that played around the same time will know me as Target of the Knights of the Sacred Blade guild. There, of course, were other places I played, Test Factions players will know me as 'Ye Britain Man'. Once again, I look forward to good times ahead; there were plenty of them as a character that was an accidental red newbie (I suppose carving up corpses wasn't the greatest idea- it turned me red) who got killed repeatedly by those 'Great Lords', and protected by people that knew I honestly had no idea I was a literal target named Target. If I could take that and have fun with it, I know there's more to come. -Target |
