weeks dumb question

I understand for the new quest you have to have an item from the library
collection.does the person doing the quest have to have done the library quest or can my char who has done it give them the reward so they can do qust.

If you are referring to the "Friends of the Library" (or whatever its called) Talisman, then I am pretty sure the person doing the quest has to have completed the LIbrary quest, as you can not transfer the talisman to another player and then inturn they go donate or whatever. I am pretty sure you can check UOstuff. com and it explains it further.

I know this much. the items you need from the collections won't show up unless you have the quest for the cloak and are at that part of the quest.

Yes, you need to do the quest on the character you plan on turning things in with. You can transfer the talisman to another of your characters but it will not allow them to turn in items to get the rewards.
The rewards from the library turn in process are transferrable or sellable to anyone.

I really hope that made sense.

I started the quest for some odd reason and I really need to go deliver that darned talisman. I can't get it out of my pack

The Library quest Ive done on 3 chars. This new quest though, involving the cloak etc... that npc I cant seem to find *sighs*

You won't be able to do the new quest to get the cloak of humility until all the shards have the publish. Currently it's only on Origin and Lake Superior

Most replies didn't understand you. I've completed the quest on Origin and nothing showed that you need to "earn" the library item on the character you are doing the quest on. But you will need someone who has done the Library Quest in order to obtain the items needed for the Cloak Quest.

To those that don't know, the "New Quest" is for a Virtue Set item, it's a cloak which gives +1 resist to all resists with a complete set. The person to speak to to start the quest is in Magencia.

No problem. Don't want to give too much info on it, it's an interesting quest and I'm sure if you NEED the info for it then you should know where to find it.

If I get some gametime today I'll let everyone know for sure (atleast how it's been implemented on Origin) if you need to "earn" the Library item with the character doing the quest.

I do think everyone should know that in the first phase of the quest, if you choose incorrectly you have a 24 hour wait before you can retry.
