As in, if you use a +10 stat scroll, you get 10 extra stats, eat a +15 scroll after that and you gain only 5 more stats. +25 is the best you can get. As for HCI and DCI, there is no display for your totals, so you just have to add them up yourself. 45% is max. ![]() ![]() |

I can't fight much else...probably because I am not very good at it. My Peace/Tamer...I never die with that dude unless I do something stupid...like, play an instrument on a corpse just for fun and forget to play the one in my pack again...so, I can't peace and can't understand why until OoOOooOO. I have the most success with my peacer/whatever combo. Tried a straight warrior...fun for roaming the lands....but a Lich killed me and I thought...well, that sucks. I think if you have 100+ in tactics and swordsmanship (or weapon of choice) your character should be able to go up to 200 str. The warrior in all fantasy games has been the strongest in physical combat. The mage has always been able to deal the most damage, but limited by mana or what is memorized. So the other warrior classes, Paladins, Cavaliers have always taken a hit to their physical abilities due to their tie in with magic. Well, the paladin at least (may be getting the Cavalier mixed in)...in UO, this is not the case for the fighter. I am going to have my fighter tame two dogs and train them up to GM wrestling and have a little more punch when he hunts. Well, if I stop being lazy and tame the dogs...don't need no taming skill fer dogs. And, you can only have two in the stable...so the limit. You will always be on foot or on a horse...always!!!! |

![]() | Re: The weakness of the warrior. Ok, thanks. I knew about skill cap, but somehow forgot to check the stats cap, noticed it just today. What does Reflect Physical Damage parameter mean? Is it increase the hit points? Something else - how do i know if some armour part is mediable? What should be written on it? |

Medable armor is leather, leaf and anything that says mage armor. Non med is anything metal, studded, hide, wood. My pali/swds which I use for spawns and all things pvm related goes a bit like this. 110 anat 90 bush 80 chiv 90 heal 110 parry 120 swds 115 tact I do great against anything out there, using the right weapon, of course. You need to build a cache of weapons that are right for every occasion. I find the soulseeker works great at every champ spawn except undead, as its the opposite repond vs undead. So I switch out to my other radiant scimmy with similar leeches just no slayer. The only place I have found to have problems, is at the Dark Father now. Before the necro induction to him, I was able to stand toe to toe with him pretty reliably. Now, forget about it. My archer is WAY red, so theres no chance of taking him there either. So Kel, it is very plausable for a Warrior to survive with ease, you just gotta have the right setup, reflexes and timing. What I did to learn how to solo hard hitting creatures was spent months at the Ogre Lords learning how to heal through hard hits and it helped ALOT. I am not the kind to do a drive by swinging either. I stand and take the damage and hopefully I come out alive in the end. Hope that helps some.. ![]() ![]() |

![]() | Re: The weakness of the warrior. You don't have any meditation or focus at all - is the mana regeneration speed not too low? I need much mana for using the chivalery. About the Ogre Lords - i tried them, but it kills me with few hits, no time to heal at all. |

I also noticed that when you honor a monster, and use Lightning strikes, you will get your mana back when you kill it. I run with 128str, 145dex, and only 60 mana, and do just fine. Grab yourself a soulseeker, and you will never ever run out of mana, stamina, or life. Amazing weapon. I also use a ornate axe with 42LL, 44ML, 38SL 25ssi, 48DI, and that works great too. Grab a repond or ogre slayer that hits fast and has Life leech on it and you will do just fine. I can sit on the Island and handle all 3 OLs with no problem just with a soulseeker and whirlwind. If you use bushido your whirlwind does more damage. Also try to get lower mana cost on your suit also. Just using a rune beetle carapiece, and totem of the void, there is 25 LMC. I wear, gauntlets of nobility, rune beetle, jackals, mace and shield, arms with high poison/fire 1MR 6mana inc, leggings with high poison/fire/energy, 4hp inc, 2 mana regen 7LMC, so in total I have 32 LMC and never run out of mana. The only time I run out of mana is when I am using my bokuto which doesnt have mana leech, and I am finding myself using alot of nerve strikes, but then I switch out to another weap, whether it is my ornate axe, or my hatchet with ML on it too. If I ever run low on stam, just divine fury and I am set to go again. ![]() ![]() |

I say Ditto on the Soul Seeker. It is the premier weapon in PVM for a swords Paladin. It has three high leeches (40% in Life, Mana and Stamina leech), awesome Swing Speed Increase, and good special attacks. They go for around 200k if you look somewhere other than Luna. This sword will keep you alive and fighting wonderfully. It is a Repond slayer, so good for all trolls, ogres, titans, and cyclopians. I would also get a Swamp Dragon and put an exceptional quality Dragon Barding deed on it, and use it as a mount. This will absorb 20% of the damage you take in battle, all damage types, spell and weapon. At this point you should also be looking for good armor pieces that not only have good resists, but good magic qualities. Some Minor Artifacts, Tokuno Artifacts, and even Major Artifacts might be on your list to improve your suit. ![]() ![]() | |

If you have a slayer weapon for whatever your fighting, use it. If you are using Hit & Run tactics*, switch to a slower, harder hitting weapon. RAISE YOUR DEXTERITY IF your HP is below 90 (preferred 100), raise your Strength or find armor pieces to get there. If you find after those two ^^ stat changes, your low on mana too much, always use mana leech weapons or reduce the use of special moves/chiv spells and only use the most effective one(s) sparingly. If you are fighting in an area where the monsters are the same (all earth ellies, all ogre lords, etc.) or close to it, always use Enemey of One (if you can). * - In regards to Hit & Run, you stated Ogre Lords kill you in a few hits before you can heal... Higher dex will help you heal faster - 1 second faster for every 20 pts put into dex. DO NOT Run in to get another hit if your HP is near or lower than the amount of damage you take in a single hit. Wait for your bandage or use close wounds before going near whatever your fighting again. |
