Hi, some buddies and I have returned to UO after a long vacation from it and went to WOW for awhile...long story short Wow has a lot of fluff but NO structure. Anyways the economy on Chessy has gone absolultey nuts since we left. We are considering transferring to another shard but we talked about the possibility of getting a Player run town going. Do you guys have any advice or info on how to do this or where to do this (ie) shards, areas?.

We really want to put the time and effort into this we are all adults no kids and are willing to go the distance to get this going. Do you guys have any advice or know how to go about doing this?

My recommendations:

1. If possible, pick a quiet spot. Generally, quiet spots are areas that are not frequently traveled. This means you'll have the place to yourself for the most part, and there's a better possibility of grabbing the land. Unfortunately I can't tell you a good place because I don't play Chesapeake.

2. Make your houses look the same. In other words, build them out of the same type of walls, etc, so when people see the buildings together, they'll think, "Hey, those buildings seemed to be linked somehow... that's interesting!" And it will look good.

3. Get vendors and host events, because no one is going to go to your town if they don't have a reason to go there, pure and simple.
