Hi,

Re: Want to buy UO - So many expansions??

Hello my friend and welcome,

Kingdom Reborn is a client, not an expansion.
UO has two clients, both are free to download. One is the legacy (2d) client and the other is Kingdom Reborn (3d)
KR and 2D downloads

The latest expansion to date is Mondain Legacy and it can be bought from the official website here :
http://www.uogamecodes.com/

I also invite you to visit our guild online guide for new players :

Re: Want to buy UO - So many expansions??

nope not quite correct. You have to buy ML (Mondains Legacy) and then dl KR to get all content (ML) + newest client (KR)(which is free)

Yes.
Your acces to content is defined by your account, not by the client you have downloaded.
So when you puchase your new account code for Mondain's Legacy and download the client and patches (either 2D or Kingdom Reborn) you will have acces to all content released so far.

Not exactly.... get the Mondain's Legacy code, having that gives you access to ALL the expansions, lands, and other things that were incrementally brought out in all the earlier UO expansions. Create your game account with that code.

Then choose which client you use to play - most folks still stick with the 2d 'classic', which I believe you can download from the links on this page - personally I found the Fileplanet one more reliable, but that might have been sheer luck, and it was a while ago!

Kingdom Reborn is a 'semi-3d' client for playing UO - there are a couple of minor things that are 'KR only', but very few, and although discussion is heated at times, I think it's fair to say KR is still a work in progress.... give it a try and see, since like most things, personal tastes differ and you may love it! Download for that is available here.

Edit... So three of us were simultaneously trying to answer that one! Hopefully we clarified, and not confused

Re: Want to buy UO - So many expansions??

Please be aware that there is currently a problem with uogamecodes emailing the registration codes. I've purchased two ML upgrade codes this week (one for each account) and did not received the automated email for either.

Yesterday EA customer support was extremely helpful and resent the code for the first purchase. Major thanks to Customer Service lady Debbie for the excellent customer service! Today however was another story as the customer support person said there was a technical problem and she couldn't resend me the code, she was also unable (unwilling?) to transfer me to a supervisor. Instead she put in a callback request in which she assured me I'd hear back from a supervisor within 24 hours. Of course, they also assured me they would respond to my first email customer support request within 24 hours and I had yet to hear anything back in 72...

Send an email to Jeremy Dahlberg at EA.com. She's been pretty good about researching and solving these things.

Re: Want to buy UO - So many expansions??

Actually UO's 9th Anniversary Edition is the latest box, and has all the expansions in a single box... including Mondain's Legacy.

9AE is also cheaper and can sometimes still be found in stores and online.
