I was at a friends today watching her redecorate from her Christmas home. She went to apply a shadow banner to a wall, and nothing happened. She dug around in her pack, and it was just gone. It was on the first floor, nothing like rugs or anything on the floor, and the wall was bare. She tried again with the same result. The shadow banner just went poof.

Anyone having this problem too? And what did you do? Are her banners just gone for good?

Does your friend have little tree tops coming up through the floor? I once targetted the floor with a bloodwood arcane circle, and the arcane circle vanished (I immediately assumed it went under the house).

So I paged a GM, and the GM said that indeed it had gone under the house (because of the tree) and recovered it and watched while I placed it correctly.

The GM also told me it was a good thing I'd paged, because it would have decayed if I had not.

does your friend have her/his circle transparency on? I've found that when placing my banners, they seem to place behind walls, and can only be seen when i walk around my house in different rooms with transparency on.

Well, late last night when no one was around, she dropped her house. Nothing was underneath it, and nothing fell off of anything. So, I guess they are gone?
