Shall we trash obsidian blades and chaos shields since they are not in turn-in list? What they used for?

I would never trash the shield, enchant it. They get pretty good w/ enchants.

As for the sword, I've got 5 rotting in my bank, I'm just waiting to see.

They are a nice black color. I need to make myself a full shadow platemail set and run around with that shield/sword on my dread war horse.

I have like 25 blades and like 25 shields eating lockdowns in my house.

I think, like the cloaks of corruption, they will have a use of some sort.

However, their potential usefulness is debateable - some people have 100+ cloaks but lets face it, most people dont. Same with the swords and shields. Many people wont be able to get as many as a few people can. Do you reward their work, or penalise the rest?

At the end of the day, what did you think you would be able to do with them? They may well have a use - to me it seems pretty obvious actually - but as anyone should know from the cloaks of corruption thing, you just can't tell without an explicit response (which was given, in the end, basically saying threads and cloaks would be of some use at a later date).

I've more or less resigned to the fact that I'm not hard core enough to collect enough of these things (or really, even one)... so farm farm farm something else and buy it - but I would like some kind of turn-in for mediocre players like myself!

Well, since Andrew the Tarot reader is so interested in 'Fate,' I think the threads will definitely have a use in the near future.

As for the swords/shields, I imagine those will be the next turn-in items now that the rift is closed and planeshields/swords are no longer obtainable.

It is also very plausible that, after choosing sides, these will be the only weapons player are allowed to use against players supporting the opposite side.

Well, plus the glass dagger. But doesn't evil always have the upper hand to start?

Well, judging by the current turn ins, the devs seem to like the "penalize the rest" stance. I mean come on, the beserker scythes for one? The cursed arties which not a huge majority had? and now doom arties which not a lot of people have that want to turn them in?

Seems like the minority is getting rewarded more so than the majority.

I dont feel like that with the current batch of items.

Sure there will be people that will get the big ticket turn-ins more than I will, but I will easily accumulate enough points to the get the items I want.

Most players can get MIBs and maps, Ilsh arties and the like, and accumulate enough points to get some new pixel goodies.

hehe, time for me to go stock up on more ilshenar marties (2k a pop!?) plus, all you guys tossing all those dark wisp chests down...thanks...you've filled my house up with junk and level 5 tmaps.

My GM lockpicker has broken over 100 picks, but he is also very grateful!
