Volunteer programs are always exploited and those volunteers are not accountable for their actions. If anything, they are only kicked off the program, but the damage they have done is never repaired. Seers & Counselors will run again trying to take matters in their own hands, abusing the abilities given to them by EA. They will think they are Gms and we will have another Salem Witch Hunt on our hands. I'd rather see more EA Gms. Leave the player base be players.

I think it depends on the powers that they have in the first place
If it were LIMITED, like the EM program was, it'd be a good idea
No creating/modifying/deleting items, deco, no placing houses etc
So the only power's they'd have, would be to teleport stuck players, answer general questions and...that's about it

Heck I would be happy with volunteer gm's that only have the power to instantly teleport to character asking for help, answer questions if possible, and having a direct line to a real gm for a serious issue needing addressed.

If a player is litterally stuck in game, there is a function to unstuck them and teleport them away. If they are stuck on a question, the forums is the best place to get an answer. No special powers needed other than being able to post. If they need help in game, forums is the best place to coordinate for help. Once ppl know your name on the forums and see your guild tag, they will aproach you ingame for help. Its a community solution to help ppl in need.
