Queen Mum had a great idea for a thread to help people with the next expansion.

So feel free to post in here your tips and hints for doing quests, collections and anything else!

Try to keep the chit chat down in this thread, just to keep it from getting too long and to make it easier for people to browse through the info. If you want to discuss something, feel free to make a new thread about it.

Dungeon Primer -
Disclaimer: This is by no means an exhaustive explanation and comes from my experiences on beta. Actual mileage may vary.
Poroxymous Palace:
Location: NE of Papua, both facets
Entrance Requirement: 5K gp for purchasing an acid resistant rope. In the future, carpenters are supposed to be able to make these after "learning" the recipe.
Peerless: Poroxymous
Keys required: body parts from corrosive slimes, torso, legs and skull. A spleen from the nasty green Blyron named Putri...something.
Notes: Poroxymous eats pets and summons. AGAIN, Poroxymous eats pets and summons, all summons. During Beta we were finally able to beat him once everyone stopped summoning things. He heals from whatever he eats. He casts area level 5 poison about every 60 seconds. Arch cure is your friend here.
Melee and archers do well while mages can heal and rez. He teleports you to him if you do damage to him.
Blighted Grove:
Location: East of Dungeon Shame both facets
Entrance Requirements: You need a special Machete. You can either complete the quest given by Jamal the Fisherman where he will teach you how to make them or you can have them made for you. If you choose to do the quest, have your blacksmith do it, not a warrior. You will not receive a recipe, you will be taught.
Peerless:Lady Melisande
Keys Required:Complete the Dryads Quest to receive a Dryad's blessing.
Notes: Lady Melisande is a necromancer. The peerless place is the branch of a tree. The rope ladder leads out so do not go down it unless you want to leave. You start out with some Satyrs to fight as well. Kill them first since they are annoying

She can summon revenants and patchwork skeletons. She has autodispel. Earth Eles and direct damage work best on her. Many people use efields to hold her back. This only works if you have enough range weapon users. The Earth eles can't get through.
Sanctuary:
Location: Other side of mountain from Blighted Grove. both facets
Entrance Requirements: None, walk through metal gate
Peerless: None
Keys Required: None
Notes: The summon fiend quest can be gotten here. In Fel you also get the spellweaving/arcanist quest. The "village is at the end of the dungeon. Limited services. (no bank)
Painted Caves:
Location: Hidden Valley mountain near Trinsic both facets
Entrance Requirements: None
Peerless: None
Keys Required: None
Notes: Lurg and Gronbu reside here amongst their Troglodyte buddies. You can get Grobu's fur as loot from killing Grobu. It is a black fur. This is by far the least exciting of the dungeons.
Prism:
Location: North Eastern tip of Nujelm Island.
Entrance Requirements: 10K gp for a ticket
Peerless: Shimmering Effusion
Keys Required: 6 unique crystals. 3 different graphics, 2 colors (white and black) They will have a timer on them. You get these from the Crystal Demon, Hydra, Serpent, Crystal Vortex, Crystal Lattice and Unfrozen Mummy.
Notes: Healers at end of path where crystal lattice are. Ferrets spawn here (healers) on the Fel facet. Very small and tight dungeon. Works best if you have a crowd to divide up the rooms, then all meet in one spot once you have all the keys. Shimmering Effusion summons Green Blobby Minions. You can no longer provoke them onto him.
Bedlam:
Location: Bloodletters in Umbra, Malas
Entrance Requirements: You must complete Aernya's quest up to the point of needing to go in there. She is located at the bottom of the steps outside the Bloodletters. Double Click the Iron Maiden
Peerless: Interred Grizzle
Keys Required: Disintegrating Thesis Notes. You get them as loot on the named monsters in Bedlam.
Notes: There is also a champion spawn here. Go west from the entrance to the graveyard. The entrance is the crypt building in the graveyard. Red Death does one hit kills, keep your distance. Set armor reportedly drops here as loot. It will be designated as such. The Grizzle secretes an acid like the solens, but worse. Fire is his weakness. He looks kinda like Bullwinkle on a diet

Minotaur City:
Location: Secret Island near Umbra Malas
Entrance Requirements: Go West then North out of town and you will see a tip of land that looks like a hook. there will be a pedastal with crystals on it. Double click this and it will transport you over. WARNING: There surrently is no way back without using a rune. make sure you have one to get back.
Peerless: None
Keys Required: None
Notes: Reptalons and squirrels spawn here. Reptalons are a tamable mount. Beware of Rend, he is nasty. There are green vases and Cauldrons that spawn here. they are required for a quest, also make nice deco.
Twisted Weald (Dreadhorn):
Location: Mushroom Cave north of Spiriuality, Ilsh.
Entrance Requirements: Must be either on the Dreadhorn quest or completed it. Calendor in Heartwood gives the quest.
Peerless: Dreadhorn
Keys Required: Bramble and Blighted cotton spawn on the ground. Gnaws fang from a blue dire wolf named Gnaw. Irk's Brain, irk is a changeling. Sabrix' Eye and Silk from Lady Silk. These are both spiders and I may have their names reversed.
Notes: Lots of changelings to deal with. Because you are in Ilsh, soem of them may be paragons. Dreadhorn has the ability to teleport you to him when you deal damage. By far the easiest of the Peerless, a small group of 5-6 could easily take him down. Casts area curse.
Citadel:
Location: Tokuno, Isamu-Jima NE in a tiny fishing village on the coast. Double click crate. The crate moves.
Entrance Requirements: Must be on a quest from the Notary, Sarakki, located outside the Britain Library.
Peerless: Travesty
Keys Required: actual keys, one from each of the three sects. Drop as loot.
Notes: Travesty is a changling. There are hidden traps that when you step on them can spawn many more sect members. Death spikes used to do one-hit kills, they may have changed that. Use circle of transparency to find the hidden walls. On the first level, use the switches to unlock the hidden doors. The thieves spawn parrots and quest crates as loot. The crates want to be returned to their owner.

Question..... where do we get spellweaving scrolls?

During Beta they were dropping as loot in the dungeons. The exception is the Summon Fey and Summon Fiend which are both gotten by doing quests. Friend of the Fey is gotten in Heartwood from the arcanists and the Summon Fiend one is gotten in Sanctuary.

hehe! i saw you down there jakk! i gave up on getting the minitor things on sonoma, grabed a bunch on napa though. Easiest way to get through to them is with a stealther. If your lucky you might be able to get in there running then invising with a mage but the spawn does get a little crouded!

I was fighting Trogs for a while yesterday and got a few Spwllweaving scrolls. No Arties though. About 65K an hour in gold (because of the crowd)

Becoming an Arcanist (Spellweaver)

To become an Arcanist, you must first seek out one who will accept you into the community and teach you the art.

Seek out Aeluva the Arcanist in Heartwood to start this 5 part quest.

Part One Objective: Gather 20 Miniture mushrooms

These can be found all over Heartwood. They spawn on the ground and all you need to go is pick up 20 of them and bring them back to Aeluva.
Part Two Objective: 10 Bales of Cotton

Head to a cotton field (Moonglow or Skara) and get 10 bales to take back.

Part Three Objective: Gather 250 boards

Self explanatory. Bring the boards back to complete this part of the quest.

Part Four Objective: Gather 1 Sack of Flout, 10 Jars of Honey and 20 Fishsteaks

Flour can be bought from a cook, or made by collecting wheat sheaves and using them on a flour mill. Honey must be bought from a cook and fishsteaks can be bought from NPC Fishers or fished up by a player fisher.

Part Five Objective: Kill 5 Exodus Overseers and 2 Exodus Minions

These creatures can only be found in the Exodus Dungeon in Ilshenar, which can be a nasty dungeon. Taking a friend with you should be helpful.

After completing these 5 takes you will be accepted and given a Spellweaving Spellbook and the spells Arcane Circle and Gift of Renewal.

Does anyone have the actual list of properties on items or a link to a site?

I just went to the uostuff site to find out the properties on the spell woven britches. Problem is the picture shows the song woven mantle, and the revers for the other, so i dont know if the properties he has listed are also backwards.

Can anyone confirm this for me?
