All the patches have been downloaded but my graphics do not show up as the new graphics. What do I need to do to get the new graphics?

We all have to wait for them to release KR client. So far it is still in closed beta. Hopefully they will have open beta in the near future. That would be the earliest chance we can see the new graphics

In regards to the topic, I personally dont like all these flashy effects of immense proportions I think it looks horrible when you spend more time looking at magical spell effects for something as simple as fighting
