UO currently suffering Network issues

First the Asian shards went down, then east coast, login server is laggy as heck. Asian shards came back. So looks like a roller coaster ride for a while.
Jeremy confirmed on UHall (her favorite posting place) that there are network issues at this time.

I'll keep you informed

Shards now back up, login in is running normal.

Whew glad I missed it

There's nothing worse that a) jonesing to play UO and b) actually having free time to play, and then running into network or server outages

Just a thought... but have you ever stopped to wonder if maybe the UO team doesn't sit back and just read our boards to get the info and news? Seems our team of crack reporters get the scoop on the stories faster than they do most of the time!

The login issues could be automatically detected in relatively simple ways. I think they used to have such a system but it apparently does not work anymore. This is quite evident in how many "so-so down" and Jeremy replies saying she is looking into it.
