Hey guys, i'm brand new to UO and i've got the 2D version running well and i'm trying to get this KR up...

after a few tries i downloaded a .zip of it that wasn't corrupted, then i isntalled it ok, but i've never gotten it to run...

every time i try to start the game using the new icon on the desktop it begins the UO Auto Patch and fails at exactly the same place, there is one patch that is uokr_win32_2-45-5-4.rtp ( 173910728 bytes ) along with its other part uokr_win32_2-45-5-4.pat ( 11 bytes) then during the step "Applying patch patch\uokr_win32_2-45-5-4.rtp it gets about.. 1/6th of the way through on the progress bar and then i get the error message:

UO AUTOPATCH MFC Application has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. Debug, Send Error Report, Don't Send.

is anyone one else getting this?
i have a core2 6300 system and i've never had any problems with the many other games i've installed so i doubt sincerely that it's my hardware, i do still have the 2d version installed but i dont want to remove it incase i get this error again, i'd like to keep playing

Not sure baout that one- have you tried deleting everything in the patch folder then trying again? If that doesnt work..uninstall the game,reboot, defrag the hard drive then re-install the game.

I think Solidchrome was suggesting you remove KR and start again.

I dont know where you installed KR from,but this this link gives you a few places to get it from.

I would start with the first one Via EA Link.

Once you have done that please post back here to let us know if you still have problems and we can take things from there.

i did everything that was suggested twice and it always fails at exactly the same place

i'll use that ea support link, i'm kinda suprized this isnt more common..

What operating system are you running? And do you know your machine specs?

What Vepl said and also let us know your Directx version.

Also make sure other programs are not running including virus software/ firewall/ internet security...just till the patching has finished at least

i've tried it with no firewall or a/v running.. just winamp hehe.. and ventrilo...
